Micky is bone idle to a certain degree in the transfer market. Always going back to sign players he's previously managed. I'm not saying some of his signings haven't been good, but he's hardly pro-active in seeking out new young talent. I think this will change with George Foster now in charge of scouting however.
I am waiting for Zamora to sign.

I think the carter deal, or the lack of one,is very much down to his reluctance to return from America. He doesn't show any sign of coming back anytime soon I'm afraid.
Transfer window/new contracts do not open until July, what is the rush, the lad is on holiday.

He should have signed for the vale before he went to America and I haven't got any patience. I want deals yesterday not tomorrow. Plus, he's in America to watch basketball....it's not even a proper sport.

Griff is there to stop and give. He can form a triangle in the centre of the pitch with the two centre halves. That enables our two full backs to get forward, support the wingers and help provide crosses. So he enables attacking and defending even if it is by doing the negative stuff. A player like Griff is missed when he is not there and the opposition march straight down the middle of the pitch on to the central defence with minimum challenge.

 

spot on and watch how many defensive headers he wins both from corners and in midfield
