  1. Does feel we are still a bit frantic defensively but we were with the three at the back. Good block from Smith on the cross when their man got in on our right side. Actually been a far better game than a relegation scrap could be expected to be.
  2. Feels like there's been more of a fluidity to what we're doing at the moment in this formation. Loft putting himself about well, shown a turn of pace.
  3. That will be what determines our chances. Whatever can muster up away great but win the bulk of the home ones and that would go a huge way to doing it. Easier said than done but with the exception of Oxford I don’t think there’s another promotion challenger coming to VP now so no excuses for this bunch to not go for it.
  4. Not sure how much stock should put into it but if even half true (and this is Pete O’Rourkes site) the idiot son has outdone himself this time 🤣🤣 Gareth you’d know what to do….
  5. While nothing will be decided in the immediate future there is an opportunity here for us to get some daylight over Charlton. Their next three fixtures are Bolton, Portsmouth and Derby so we need to be going balls to the wall trying to get something from our fixtures in that time.
  6. You’re right but at some point we need to help ourselves so one way to stick another nail in the coffin is to go there and win. Charlton also held to a draw and Cambridge and Wycombe losing things could be worse for us.
  7. And Wiredu now levelled it for Fleetwood against Reading. Happily take that.
  8. Nice little boost for us with Barnsley getting a stoppage time leveller at Shrews. I think it’s them primarily who are the target we could haul in.
  9. I think it would have to have been done prior to transfer deadline day as the club would still hold his registration which is why I presume the <ovf censored> did that with Dwight Gayle.
  10. Regardless of the result would rather just get this game done and dusted than have the backlog go into March.
  11. No he didn’t put it in reply to anything. He made a separate post just saying after 4 months out it was nice to be back on the grass. The Vale Twitter account retweeted him not the other way round. Plenty of things to criticise at the moment but this is reaching a bit quite honestly.
  12. None of the points she makes in it are wrong. It’s more what’s not been said about the lazy option of appointing Crosby without a proper recruitment process or the complete failure recruitment-wise particularly in the window.
  13. Carol herself when she first took over said Colin was an expert on all the rules and regulations etc and was a massive help on that. Maybe I’m just being crazy but it certainly seems someone with that expertise and respect in the industry would be a useful thing to want to have but what do I know.
  14. Unless there’s something more that’s pretty amateur hour stuff. Applying for international clearance is a pretty standard thing in these transactions. Don’t know who is at fault on this but I’d say this kind of thing wouldn’t have happened with Colin Garlick here.
  15. Our Nath confirmed by Charlton. Great appointment that, should get them clear of any danger
  16. Just personally speaking my disdain for Bratt far exceeded that of Smurthwaite. The latter was pretty up front about the fact he was a complete <ovf censored>. Doesn’t make it right but at least you knew what you were dealing with. Bratt on the other hand all the gas-lighting from him about how he was such a huge fan, “mortgaged his house” and only was a reluctant chairman who really just wanted to be in the Railway (aye right that would be why he moved heaven and earth to block any outside investment when it arose).
  17. Just to give an idea of the clubs who are looking at him basically it’s a non-starter.
  18. I’m guessing this is their way of saying nobody else coming in. Comments should be fun at least… They should tweet an update on ABBA night, should be guaranteed some engagement on it at least 😂
  19. Guess must have waited for his mate Dan Gore to be through the door and now “thanks Tommy you can go now”. Something I hope we do take from his time as a pro is targeting our loans outward better. The ones we sent him on never seemed to develop him for whatever reason whether it’s the club or him that was the issue. Great opportunity for him now
  20. Off all the transactions I was expecting in this transfer window that one is rather erm unexpected. What a move for Tommy though. Presumably the fee will have clauses like more cash if he makes a first team appearance and a sell on etc.
  21. That tallies up with Crosbys tone about it in his press conference on YouTube. Was quite guarded about it in a way that came across as there was more he could say if he wanted.
  22. He looks as much a 22 year old as Luke Littler does 17. Seems someone who will go picking fights with opposition players every couple of minutes so in other words exactly what I want.
  23. Wish Lewis Cass all the best. Think some have been way over-critical of him at times. Hasn’t helped here that both DC and Crosby rarely picked a settled a back line. Get that confidence back under Challinor who knows him well and am sure he’ll be a success there.
  24. Looks like Fleetwood now sold Josh Earl to Barnsley as well as losing Marriott earlier. Dare I say Saturday might be a good time to play them. Reading also looking like might lose Azeez to Plymouth so their fire sale continues.
