While nothing will be decided in the immediate future there is an opportunity here for us to get some daylight over Charlton. Their next three fixtures are Bolton, Portsmouth and Derby so we need to be going balls to the wall trying to get something from our fixtures in that time.

You’re right but at some point we need to help ourselves so one way to stick another nail in the coffin is to go there and win. Charlton also held to a draw and Cambridge and Wycombe losing things could be worse for us.

Just personally speaking my disdain for Bratt far exceeded that of Smurthwaite. The latter was pretty up front about the fact he was a complete <ovf censored>. Doesn’t make it right but at least you knew what you were dealing with. Bratt on the other hand all the gas-lighting from him about how he was such a huge fan, “mortgaged his house” and only was a reluctant chairman who really just wanted to be in the Railway (aye right that would be why he moved heaven and earth to block any outside investment when it arose).

Just to give an idea of the clubs who are looking at him basically it’s a non-starter.

Off all the transactions I was expecting in this transfer window that one is rather erm unexpected. What a move for Tommy though. Presumably the fee will have clauses like more cash if he makes a first team appearance and a sell on etc.
