Felt at the time he was harshly criticised when with us. Yeah he missed a few but still had a goal output Uche and Loft combined couldn’t get close to. Suppose Burton could still go down and for the away day that’d be the preferable one. If Wycombe score now things get really interesting.

If Wycombe win at Cambridge tonight we might yet have a say in saving DC. Of course relying on our bumbling incompetents is a pretty forlorn task though.

Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Be nice to think they had some fight in them but I doubt it. Suspect can give it the same credibility as the Wilson and Harrison rumoured fight from a year ago. -

Who says many will be watching it though? -
It’s not Darren’s fault but he can get us bouncing back

Let’s not re-write history on Crosby the last time we saw one of his teams was the most pathetic surrender of all this season at Fleetwood. He had completely lost it by that point and had to go. Am I remaining to be convinced by Moore given how he started? Yes but let’s not act like it’d have been any different with Crosby as that’s just not true. Crosby also had the advantage there were two transfer windows (which thanks to Flitcroft we failed in) and Moore has yet to have one.- 56 replies

You’re right we certainly can’t just pay them all off, that is simply not going to happen. I’m hoping with a few of them though who have been more used to L1 wages we have wage reduction clauses in their contracts for relegation and that might make the decision for a few of them to see if another club will take them on. -
Agree with most of that but the club announced last week Lomax was out for the season sadly. Like to have a look at Brazier and Buah in this game too.

Completely agree. He’s <ovf censored> awful. He’s more a threat to knocking the Hamil roof down than getting one on target. Not to mention his conditioning for a so called professional is a disgrace. -

This is going to be a big summer for Plant now. I really hope we settle on a position for him to play in now than just shunt him round the lineup plugging whatever gaps there are. It’s really done him a disservice. No more shoehorning him as a wingback. I felt so sorry for him up against Mason-Clark at Peterborough the other week when he was powerless to stop him. -

I think I’d transfer list Ojo. He doesn’t really look like he wants to be here since Crosby left so let him find a new club and get whatever we can for him. I’m sure a lower end L1 club might want him in their squad. -
At this point not really much else you can say. Certainly a lot better in tone than her previous one. Just have to see how it all plays out, a lot of hard work ahead not least clearing some of the stiffs in this squad.

Well Carol has released something. At this point guess there’s not much else to say. A message from Carol Shanahan OBE | News | Port Vale WWW.PORT-VALE.CO.UK

I feel for her as she’s always had good intentions but you can’t keep making so many wrong decisions and not pay the price. I know she likes to say she doesn’t see it as losing but learning lessons, well she’ll have a <ovf censored> masters by now. Best thing she can do is take a couple of days take stock. Maybe take advice from Rudgey and then address it publically rather than let emotion take over.

To be honest outside any of the academy lads we’ve brought through, Garrity (if he stays is the new captain) and Chislett everyone else if I didn’t see them again it’d be too soon. Maybe keep Ripley too but he isn’t the Manuel Neuer clone he seems to think he is. -

I’m trying to think which would be the more effective. People turn up and just 90 minutes of all the usual gallows humour chants so a few of these stiffs take the hint or playing to a virtually empty stadium and nobody there if they try a lap of dishonour at the end? -

Good goal. Not sure why Ojo let him cut inside though. -

Finally a few of our players start getting a bit aggro. Well done Ben backing up Baylee there. -

Lucky escape there. We are so weak defending out wide. Dipepa on. -

Garrity is really making some good runs. Ideally we can keep him next season but at same time couldn’t begrudge him a move. -

Dacres-Cogley for them is everything you want in a wingback. Steep learning curve for Jack against him. Think we were linked with him in the summer not that he’d have ever chosen us over Bolton. -

Well I’m not sure how but we’ve made it to halftime level. Bolton fair play when they step up the pace look everything we were promised we’d be at the start of the season and didn’t transpire. -

Was an appalling clearance from Debrah. His regression as a player as the season has gone on has been startling. -
