  1. What’s hard to see? It’s a money pit. Most sensible people with a wad of cash have enough sense to steer clear of football club ownership. Beyond that there’s a few spivs, some ego trippers and a few mega rich with money to burn. Speak to fans of a top tier club like Man U and see what they say about owners.
  2. All well and good…….but you’ve seen far worse. I think that you’ve allowed yourself to be overly influenced by social media and internet forums, which are full of dick heads, trolls and self opinionated buffoons, such as myself, which were never part of the equation in the past. Think on that. 👍🏻
  3. So what’s tipped you over the edge? You’ve seen far worse than where we are now.
  4. I can only speak for myself. I’m always hopeful that things will improve, which they do, football is ups ‘n’ downs.
  5. Anyone, yourself maybe, who’s been around for a few seasons has seen it all before and suffered all of the emotions. Crap football, off field issues, relegation, we’ve got the badge. It still doesn’t dim the hope. The good times are just around the corner.
  6. Do you didn’t watch us at all in league 2 then?
  7. No idea, but there has been a budget for all 3 windows, it’s how that budget has been spent, or not spent, that’s in question. Listening to the podcast would indicate that whilst some players were asking too much we did have some money for the right player but in the end sat on our hands while the clock ticked.
  8. Spot on. We’ll be renewing ours, assuming no changes in personal circumstances. The irony is that folk will hold on to their money and the club will have less to spend on the product on the pitch.
  9. Whilst I agree with much of this I don’t agree that we looked more assured on the ball, I thought we looked dreadful in possession and our passing was if anything worse than ever, especially early in the game. Obviously nerves play a part and both sides seemed to both be as bad in this regard, equally both settled more as the game wore on until their goal sucked the life out of us. Second half only one team was going to win it, in part helped by our subs making us weaker. Yet again we were bullied. Some of the finishing from either side was possibly the worst I’ve seen in a long long time given the number and quality of the chances. Few, if any, positives for me, but Ripley definitely worth a shout out .
  10. Celebrity Chase is even worse and you were in real danger of making yourself a laughing stock until that last paragraph.
  11. Because fans are, or were, fed up of too much of the possession based “tippy tappy” stuff and want us to play a blend of tippy tappy and hoof ball, which I think is where we are at the moment. The honest truth is that if we were winning games then folk wouldn’t give a 💩…….but we’re not…..so they do.
  12. Yeh but come on, Homes Under The Hammer? Bargain Hunt? Over a train trip and a few scoops? Get a grip.
  13. Not the “system” as in the formation, but the preferred style of play, as in possession based. I think this was stated at one of the forums, and maybe more, along with being mentioned other interviews. The idea being that the young kids are playing the same way as the first team so that there’s continuity right through all the age groups. In addition, we can sell it to the Prem and Champ clubs when we’re touting for loans.
  14. Sort yourself out man. Get your tickets and get on the ale. Rumour has it your sofa’s lost its support.
  15. They weren’t must win games, they were mustn’t lose games. Take a point, keep the goal difference static and most importantly keep our relegation rivals behind us. Crosby had to go, he’d been given more than a fair amount of time. The debacle at Fleetwood was the final nail. Moore has inherited a terrible hand but you can’t argue that the situation wasn’t obvious to him, obviously indicating that he’s got the job next season chance whatever the outcome this. He’s been left shopping in the free agent market so unless someone can pull a rabbit out of the hat we’re still in the same mess.
  16. Exactly. We’ve appointed a new manager, the fans have to back the team. What will be will be. Our league position will ultimately decide.
  17. Much of what you say is true but you could easily argue part of DC’s failure was down to the players recruited, or not recruited, under Flitcroft in the January window that season, a trend that’s continued, resulting in the departure of another manager. The recruitment team have had 3 transfer windows to address our lack of goals and have failed. That’s a bit longer than you and your flat, which I hope works out by the way. We can appoint the very best manager but then also have a duty to give him the tools to do the job. We failed to do that for DC, failed again for Crosby and failed Moore by appointing him immediately after the window has shut. It’s gross mismanagement, reactive rather than proactive which shows a lack of planning. When you start churning managers plus all their staff it costs significant money. That money could, and should, have been spent on players, which would improve the team and help keep the manager in a job, not to mention drive revenues in the obvious ways any successful team would see. It’s a fundamental failing, we shouldn’t be depending on the allure of Moore, although I like the sound of that, to attract free agents. It’s desperation. Gayle is linked to Derby I believe? Plus I’ll just point out that Gore isn’t a replacement for Massey. Gore and Wier are stepping into the roles vacated by Arblaster and Devine.
  18. What are you on about you drongo. The light is bright, and has been for a good while.
  19. It’s already too toxic, the appointment of Moore had just made it an undercurrent. I think League 1 survival would save him, such would be the relief, but relegation, certainly if it was confirmed before the end of the season, would be a bridge too far and the pressure too great for Carol to ignore. Either way the club need to have an inquest at the end of the season.
  20. There can be no other option. Her letter was a plea, which in fairness to Carol we should answer. We desperately need to stay up and personally I will back the team 100% until we’re down, at which point Carol can’t blame anyone else other than terrible recruitment over 3 transfer windows which has actually cost 2 managers their jobs and lands squarely at the door of the DoF. Even if we stay up, financially it’s cost us as we’ve paid off 2 managers and all their staff balanced against the cost of a good striker or two. Changing the manager has bought time buts results on the pitch will decide how much time that is.
  21. It’s very clear that transfer dealings over 3 windows have totally shafted us and barring a miracle will result in our relegation, with all the financial implications. There’s no escaping who is responsible. If and when we’re mathematically down then Carol will have to take action. It’s quite obvious what that will entail. It won’t be a new manager.
  22. It wasn’t “placid” at Fleetwood. You obviously weren’t there.
