Funny how everyone seems to forget the bits in front of the defence and behind the strikers. Goals conceded aren’t always just down to the defence and goals scored or created aren’t all down to the strikers. It’s a team effort. We have a poor team that can’t defend as a unit or create chances.

I got shot down a couple of years ago on here after yet another appearance by the owners on the pitch. It was during the promotion season IIRC. I just suggested that they should stop being so front and center by seemingly courting all the praise and adulation, because there will come a point when things will turn on the pitch, football fans have short memories and they won’t be interested in what was achieved in the past and will very easily turn on them. We’ve hit that point this season.

I think it goes back to the start of the season given some of the players we got in.

Loads of factors. Allegedly reducing the budget. All sources I know within the club said it happened and the Jan window of 2023 / the amount of people that left behind the scenes seems to bear that out. Getting rid of players / offering them reduced terms isn’t an issue if we get in better players. We didnt do that. We’ve lost characters in the dressing room that supposedly drove standards behind the scenes as well as looking like they cared when pulling on the shirt. Being hamstrung to a formation and not recruiting players to fit that formation. DCs personal issues came to the fore. DF getting sole control with the removal of Garlick. Carol focusing on things outside of what goes on the pitch.

Rubbish. Crosby, DC, Moore… all managers dish it out at some point. It’s how the players react. They aren’t reacting.

Clark should never have been on that pitch, not only did he look unfit but he looked podgy to me. It’s a sad indictment of the mess we’re in that a first team player has playing in that state. It probably says a lot about our recruitment too in that he’s had to play because we have no full backs. That ball has come through a crowd of players and hit smith in the chest. Not one player at the front area has gone up with any intent of winning it and watching it back just, it looks like right in front of smith that Debra ducks out of it. A similar thing happens on the second with Chislett I think not making any attempt to head it away when he looks favourite to win it easily. Shocking. Players have no desire to stick their head in.

Could still be a back 3 of lowe, smith and debs?

Probably benched because he hasn’t been good enough.

The irony. Seems to me that a decent cross section of fans attended and they asked the pertinent questions. As long as the concerns we all have are asked then there’s no issue from me.
