best water in UK

Anyway, back to water....the water in Lincoln exhibited a crispness that bordered on being Evian like although it lacked the subtle acidic undertones of that well known French H2O. Now the water in Sunderland tasted like it was being produced in the urinals of nearby newcastle Upon tyne....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz:sleep:

I've never liked the tap water in Stoke / Staffs. Hard water area, very dry powdery taste to it.

 

It was only after I moved away when I came back to stay at my parents that I started to notice it.

I find the water in stoke to be a lot more tasty than water down south. Less prone to lime scale buildups too.

Much prefer the harder water, especially when thirsty.

hard water was what made joules stone so palatable, unfortunately visiting supporters found it a bit to strong and many missed the match whilst they were sleeping it off. this was many years ago of course.

Not a fan of the water down here in Surrey. Quite cloudy, and I think SOT tap water always had a harder, punchier edge to it.

 

What about best bottled/mineral water?

 

Always hated Evian, Volvic is up there (I would say that, being from the area)...and Vichy.

I m partial to a San Pelligrino in terms of bottled water, however that's carbonated. Not really fair to compare against your standard bottled. Can't go too far wrong with a Buxton though.

I always preferred Volvic to Evian when I lived in France (the hall of residence tap water was vile). Luchon was good as well but they haven't expanded into the UK.

I live 200 yards from park hall lake in weston coyney.

 

That lake is fed by a natural spring that's been there for my 40 odd years since a kid.

 

It's so nice & harmless .

Ain't done me any harm.

 

But I'm the first person in my family to walk up right !
