Yates has been brilliant lately! Him and Duffy are good enough to be our right-backs. We don't need to waste money on anyone else there.

 

A priority has to be to get Dan Jones signed up on a 2-3 year deal. The lad will trive after a pre-season with us and my thoughts are that he is loving every minute of it with us here!

 

But Yates gets **** on against anyone with pace

The very first item on Micky's shopping list should be two quality centre halves. I can't name anyone as some of you can (too much time spent playing Championship Manager maybe) but we desperately need new faces in this area.

 

Someone not a green-rookie but also not a past-it-veteran, perhaps about 26-28 years old, tall, quick, good on the ball. Any ideas?

It would be nice, if he had the chance, to play Davis for the last 2 games, although we might have to stick for the Northampton game.

What is, will be the position of Rob Taylor, Morsy, Burge, Shuker, McCombe? Do we have to give Purse an extension if we go up. Will he get rid of Dodds? Will we sign Birchall full time? Not to mention Andrew.

I'm getting ahead of myself. A win tonight is the priority.

Let's hope he can scan further than his ex teams for players

Are you kidding? Pace up and down the line is one of Yates' strong points. Duffy is painfully slow off the ball.

We need two center halfs,25ish like said earlier.

Would like to see a quality cent-mid,championship quality. And a winger of similiar qualiy.

Do need to put more pace into our back line.

on point abt ant malbon,he signed a 2yr contract at Kidderminster last week.vale have had a look and spoke to him before he signed,he doesnt see eye to eye with micky. Family issue from few yrs ago.

Agreed re the defenders - time for another swoop for Aspin and Glover types, from the reserves of teams in the Championship who are not getting enough football. Even then could we afford Championship reserve wages?

jake robinson aint had much luck at northampton, down the pecking order, looked a good 'un when at shrews.

Nicky Ajose from Bury is a decent player and is relatively young, also Findley guy who was on loan at Gillsnwhinscored against us at home looked a good pacey striker

James Norwood from Forest Green, championship quality at least, bargain

 

He certainly impressed in the FA cup game and at the age of 22 can develop further. He's also ex Brighton and that should go down well with Adams. I've always been impressed with Ashley Grimes performances whenever I've seen him. He's at Rochdale so it will be interesting to see how he performs on Saturday.
