The news that 'Mark Grew is targeting an Easter double...' has set the alarm bells ringing!! Most of his clarion calls seem to be the prelude to a series of poor results.Who can forget his insistence when he took over from Gannon that we could still make the play offs as one bad result followed another. Even before the last game of that season he was announcing that it was mathematically possible. Personally, I just wish that he would keep his predictions to himself as very often they tend to be way off target!!

The man is being interviewed and asked questions, and has given the standard upbeat answer that any decent Assistant Manager would give. Now stop looking for a scapegoat when things haven't even gone wrong yet, and admit you just don't like the poor man.

He was always on a loser when he took over the shambles that Gannon had created, so forget that nonsense talk, would you prefer he said we are likely to lose to Cheltenham and Chesterfield ? Really......!!!!!

He's alright Grewy is. He never really says anything new or interesting when he gets interviewed, but he trots out the usual clichés and the Sentinel seem happy enough if they can get a few quotes to pad out an article on a slow news day.

I'm waiting for the folk who dislike him for being the constant factor in our demise over the past 10 years, instead of actively ignoring the part he played in some of the greatest years of our existence prior to that!

The guy has stuck with us in some pretty thin times, including being made redundant which many on here (including me). Of course, there will be some who simply believe that he is not good enough to go anywhere else. I'd prefer to view him as a loyal employee who gives his all, but will make mistakes as we all do, at a time when loyalty in the game has disappeared!

As for blaming him for the post gannon debacle, you can blame the board for getting the choice of manager wrong, blame Micky for leaving, but please don't blame the guy who tried to put it all back together!

Would you rather he gave an interview saying there is no chance that we will gain any points over this busy period of games,the players are just not up for it?

 

Maybe there is a reason for him doing the interviews and not Micky.
