Local Authority Traffic Cameras.

I don't think there will be any more speed camera additions on the A34 between Stoke and Stafford mainly because there isn't the need for anymore thanks to SCC blanket speed camera policy of the 1990s that seemed to be based on using the entire road saftey budget for several decades on speed camera installations soley on the A34 between Stoke and Stafford.

However, as another poster has pointed out. Why not try driving within the speed limit? That usually helps a lot with things such as RTC's, points on your license etc etc. It's a perfectly reasonable idea really.

You are right about keeping within the speed limit. But have you any idea what these cameras are for are they traffic cameras, speed cameras or cameras for something else like what has been suggested?

Between 1981 and 1986 I worked in Stafford and lived in Trent Vale and then Trentham. On an exceptional day I once made from Trentham to the car park in Stafford in 13 minutes without more than a few mph over the limit in the speed restricted areas. But to be fair the A34 was a much more dangerous road then and although much slower today very much safer.
