How can fans on a message board ruin is career? The mind boggles!

 

It is possible. Badele and Skinner ruined Jason Lee's career by announcing that 'he had a pineapple on his head', well, that and a complete lack of talent.

They didn't ruin his career. And they were on a national tv show in any event. Loved Statto I did.

They totally ruined his career! He was in too flight when that show started. They soon got fans at very club in the country taking the loss out f his barnet and he plummeted down the leagues. He could have been an England regular otherwise ;)

Andrew has been really bad since he signed, yes he scored today but would I want him to start the next game? The answer is no.

 

First time I've said this for a long time as been most games but .... 'The radio said' he linked up well with Pope and played well so why wouldn't you want him to start?

 

Hughes has struggled to form a partnership with Pope and Pope has certainly suffered because of this.

DOnt think he has been really great or really bad to be honest. DOne an honest shift each time, just never looked like scoring. Whether a deflection off his backside of 30 yard screamer.

WHat I want to know is though, why arent people blaming him for pope not scoring like they have been with hughes? Who lets be fair, is a better player.

From the last few games (particularly highlighting Barnet) I think the problem is Hughes doesn't work well off Pope. Pope gets the ball flung into him and flicks it on, or brings it down when he can but Hughes is often a long way off him. Hughes works hard and does run his socks off but it often leaves Pope horribly exposed. Dodds is a much better partner for Tom and I'd say Benji too.

Can see the argument for dodds as its a different formation. Cant for williamson, who is a bit over rated by some, and doesnt have the same footballing brain (similar to taylor, can look great and then look non league).

My point was that people blamed hughes for pope not scoring, but no one has suggested Andrew is at fault for the same. Seems a bit strange.
