Alan Pardew signed an 8 year one last year. Doubt that will last.

I think you will find young trumpet that though a contract is seen through the club who cart them off has to honour the term of agreement with cash payment to the value of the contract and vice versa.

Haven't Coventry got big issues with debt because of not owning the richo etc ? Can't see it after everything he's been through here and now its all running smoothly. Having said that some would see it as a blessing.

 

Coventry City are in absolutely dire straights financially. They owe a mass of rent to the owners of the Ricoh stadium and can only continue playing there because of financial support from the Coventry City Council (sound familiar?) The situation is far from being resolved so why should MA want to go through all that again?

I believe Pardew's contract has a clause, in which Ashley would only have to pay Pardew 1 years salary if Newcastle were to get rid of him.

Yes, when things appeared to be improving, the council had bailed out the stadium owners, and things were sorted. But it appears the club want a lower rent, deferring payments, and are talking about moving elsewhere, a negotiating tactic maybe, since their debts are massive. Who would not jump at the chance of a more stable job.

Yes fosse, Coventry are in the mire as they can't collect the compensation fee from Huddersfield, both incomings and out goings are frozen, bet they wish they were still at Highfield road.
