Sky could have asked Robbie Earle as he's played for both clubs and wrote in a very even handed way about it in the Jokinell. Plus, he's got miles more experience as a TV pundit than Mad Dog. But no, they had to ask someone with a vested interest who made it clear he hoped we'd lose. Despite his comments at the end that he thought we'd go up, this was pretty poor judgement by Sky.

what did you expect him to say, i really hope vale win so they go 4 points clear of my team in the league?

The best bit about his comments was when he was saying would our new signings upset the lads who had played the first half of the season and got us where we are. Have Gillingham not signed anyone in January mad dog and are they not going upset your squad from the beginning of the season??? The blokes a tool and a wind up merchant

I figure he played it straight enough and was pretty much how I expected him to be. I did think the summariser dwelt too much on the 'penalty appeal', especially as from behind, it looked clear to me that Duffy was standing his ground (imho).

 

And they failed to mention how that bloke with the squirrel on his head managed to stay on the pitch.
