Sean Mcallistar 25 played 68 games for Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship and 35 games for Shrewsbury and despite over 100 league games is a free agent.

Mcallistar is 5'8" and described as a "box-to-box" midfielder also as a good technical footballer who is honest and hardworking....

both the Owls fans and Shrews fans liked Mcallistar and have nothing but good things to say about the player.

To sum up opinion on Mcallistar as a player it seems that while not of great physical size and presence Mcallistar reads the game well and likes a tackle....described as an honest player who will run all day and get stuck in.

So while somewhat short and not a beast of a defensive midfielder Mccallistar is wholehearted and an intelligent player in centre midfield.....not really a 10 goal a season attacking midfielder or really a hollywood ball playing creative midfielder Mcallistar is

more the technical modern "tippy-tappy" tidy midfielder who keeps the ball moving and will tidy up....said to be quite quick with a bit of pace and a very good engine the sort of midfielder who covers every blade of grass....someone even suggested Mcallistar would also make an excellent option at wing back.

Anyway Mcallistar would seem to be a quality footballer with Championship experience and ideal for the disciplines of that

central midfield partnership in a 4/2/3/1......technical,mobile,honest and hardworking....could be a usefull signing.

That's pretty concise. Have you seen him play a lot? Who would you compare him more to, out of our current midfielders?
