Not much movement at Stoke which is great news because it means they will still be shiit next season

Surely they’ve made those names up

Haven’t we released him too?

It’s just a technicality he’s “returning”, but believe he’s on the way out.

Lawal seems like one to “ask the question” about for me…

Yes think they said that on the Ale & Vale pod I listened to about the retained list

We'll agree to disagree. I just think you're incredibly naive if you think signing Lowe or Tezgel is a realistic proposition for Port Vale.

George Byers isn’t a great example either as he was a free agent after his loan with Blackpool ended so was in no way attached to a higher club at the time.

Does anyone have an idea on potential goalkeepers? I dont think Amos should have gone as hes a great number 2 and a more than capable 1. Im not sure who there is but that position is worry.

In terms of strikers, id love to see us go in for that Samson Tovide guy. Whenever he played against us hes been a pain and I think with Brady on board and Stockley to support he would be a great addition. Only 22 and fits Bradys profile of player.

I'm more interested in how many

Amos showed last season why he is not a number 1. For me push the boat out on a quality number 1 and then a young lad maybe on loan as the number 2.

None of this 3 first team keeper options nonsense we had under Moore

Tovide always looks great against us, not sure how much he’s actually done for Colchester though. He’s one id be happy if we signed

Goalkeepers are an unusual one and depends on what the gaffer decides to do . Young loanee or experienced pro? Loanee would be cheaper so could put money elsewhere but there is a risk that loanee isnt great. Although they dont tend to get recalled. If going experienced then Jordan Archer ex Portsmouth, Connor Hazard or Lucas Ashby-Hammond ex Plymouth or Nik Tzanev ex Huddersfield...sure there are others. Again is the keeper going to be a sweeper keeper or a shot stopper???

Linney at Carlisle is a very good player, a few others from them as well. I don’t claim to watch non league every week so don’t know the ins and outs.

Matthew Rush, boreham wood, seems to score for fun at that level. No idea whether he could make the step up but seems to know where the net is.

Given my lack of knowledge in non league  valeparklifes post looks to have some really good options on.

There is loads that have been released we could look at:

Niskanen from Exeter - probably goes to Wigan.
Jordan Gibson - Doncaster - played around 50 times for Donny last year

Jasper Moon - Burton - looked decent when I’ve seen him

Zack Nelson - Luton - went on loan to Wimbledon last year but is young and played a fair bit of Championship football

Jamie Jellis - Walsall - will go league 1

Some good shouts there, v593, thank you for those.

You do know we don't have a senior goalkeeper apart from Madman Marosi, though don't you? You do understand the basic concept of having a goalkeeper? Or has that particular nuggets of common sense gone hurtling out of the window with your one remaining brain cell?

No, Nathan Lowe is not a realistic option because he will have a number of options at levels well above our own.

(Yes, I know you were attempting humour again …)

How he doesn't get in their team I don't know.

Stockport are probably a better side than Stoke and he was one of their better players. Plus they always whinge about having no one to put the ball in the net.

Maybe it just makes them feel big time to loan out a player of his ability.

Strikers graveyard is Stoke.
He will end up leaving and doing well somewhere as he clearly has talent.
