@Alan Vit I think, in this case, you must admit defeat. Maja is a Championship standard player and even if he does decide to drop down a division he will have no end of offers from League One.

A more realistic target for me would be Regan Linney at Carlisle, a goalscoring winger who seems to have gone under the radar a bit. I'd also be looking at Kabia at Grimsby if they dont go up.

Someone who is in vale budget range. Pie in the sky stuff if you think a footballer in his 20s will drop down two leagues and take an almighty pay cut 

Unless a saudi prince or a Hollywood celebrity comes knocking. Vale simply dont have that kind of money , and id be very suspicious if any league 2 side were paying those wages

Not Maja, he’s just not remotely realistic, I would have said the same if we stayed up  

Id be looking mainly at non league. Players who have done well there, if not promoted we should have a decent chance. Boreham Wood have a few decent players as do Carlisle, Yorks keeper has been released / not signing a new deal he would be a good signing I think.  
There will be loads out there in all the clubs retained lists. For me though we have enough experience already and the steady league 2 players, so I hope to see a few sign from the league below.

York have released Harrison Male played all 46 games, golden glove winner 2 years running supposed to be great shot stopper and good with his feet.
