Ex-Players still playing

I wasnt much for Ripley either. Apart from his first few games at the club and that Bromley away game i thought his performances were average or poor. Certainly not the best keeper in the league as people were making out when we signed him.

He is the most overrated keeper that I have seen in my 45 years fold supporting Vale.

He came with a massive reputation but flattered to deceive on many occasions.

And that’s why he’s already so many club’s with most of them being in the lower league of one & two because he gets found out.

Ben Amos would have saved the goal that Conor Ripley let in against Salford the other night

Ripley was 1st choice keeper for Vale when he and Amos were both at the club, Ripley should never have left, Amos should be 2nd choice to Gauci.

Ripley got dropped and then threw his toys out of the pram which is why he released him.

Awful keeper. I’m glad that he’s not here anymore

Was a big fan of Ripley when he came. However my lasting memories of him are at the Bycars end with his back arched, one arm up as the ball flies into the net.

Carl Dickinson has joined Leek town as a coach.

Few ex vale players there including Dino Visser ( remember when he got injured cos the manager made them play rugby ? )

Billy Reeves , Alex Hurst also play for them

BJ, Independent people at PVFC, DM & the goalkeeping coach, deemed Ripley to be a better keeper than Amos hence Ripley started more games at Vale when both were present. When Ripley left, our No 1 goal keeper position was weakened, not a desired scenario for the club in my view.

At least he went for it.

How manager and goalkeeping coach at the time thought it was fit to drop Ripley. That’s all you need to know

Are you actually Ripley?

Ripley only uses social media sites where he can post a photo of himself looking happy when hes won a game/angry when he lost a game with a cringe hashtag at the end of it ... #alltogether #stillalongwaytogo #itsamarathonnotasprint. Weetabix hands loved a ego pick me up

Someone mentioned Billy Reeves earlier, made his 250th appearance for Leek today v Hednesford. Hednesford had Chris Hussey starting with Dan turner and Dan trickett-smith on their bench.

Relived we never signed him in the end. Trouble just follows that lad. If it's not illegal hunting it's lobbing chairs at folk

Speaking of Oldham Tom Pett ( now that's what you call a midfielder) scored for them today

Tom Sang also scored for Shrewsbury

Vassell and Mckirdey started for Crawley as they beat barrow 1-0 who had Whitfield and raglan playing for them. It was the vale academy lads derby with Gibbo getting an assist for Cambridge as they beat smudges Tranmere 4-2.  How is Crosby still in a job there?
