Blimey bit harsh on the great Stan Bowles Clive Allen etc.. I m sure the question is more justifiable if aimed at us unfortunately….. apart from us Vale fans we re hardly in anyone’s radar.

Oh I don’t know, the people in lardland do seem obsessed with us from time to time 😂

Good news, when word gets around could start a bidding war.

Not sure these days players to seem hold a lot of the cards… hopefully he doesn’t go down the same route as a certain Newcastle centre forward and with old his labour.

I Conner see that happening

Rhys seems a guy of principles

Also Rodney Marsh led QPR from the old Div3 to Div1 in consecutive promotions and played for England.  Winning the League cup in Div3.

We re running away with ourselves anyway. He s got to have a good spell with us before he has major interest or bidding war.
He s like a lot of young players for championship clubs probably in the promising/worth monitoring column.

My comment is that even with a 3 year deal with or without a decent release clause the player can often force a move these days.. even if the timing/selling fee doesn’t suit the club.

makes the owners decisions so much more difficult unfortunately.

Rhys may or may not be a good guy but if he gets an opportunity he feels he can’t turn down 12 months from now who knows how things will pan out.

anyhow for now let’s hope he plays well enough to get us moving up the league.

Maybe so, I was just adding to your list.

I was being a little facetious with the point tbh. We are oversubscribed at ST now for me, that’s all. I don’t have much of a view of our striking options as ones for the future just yet really - they either impress and stay beyond this year (Faal/Brown) or get moved on. Jury still out on many of them (Waine), or they not hitting the performance levels yet (Curtis). So far they are not producing the goods hence bringing Cole in, and the other 2 since Tolaj left. If we were scoring the goals we don’t bring in these extra 2 loan players.

Fair points. When the season started, Tolaj and Stockley would be everyones pick as the main strikers. DM has had to act. No excuses now.

I'm sick of reading that Cole is so lazy, that he has a massive ego and that he's got a stinking attitude by all of the fans from his ex teams. I know what I'm going to have to do. I'm going to stop reading

Well it doesn't matter if you think we have had a good or bad transfer window, it's time to fasten the seat belts for the Vale roller coaster and give the lads all the support we can.

Good advise. Take him as you see him.

At 30 years old he’s not going to run around chasing lost causes, he’s going save himself for key moments to put the ball in the back of the net. Thats what we need, we have a midfield and forwards full of runners.

I've read that he was like that when he was younger but 'maybe he'll be better now' hence why I need to stop reading

We play better with 10 men. Hes just got keep on side and plant it in the net when the opportunity arises

He came across as being arrogant  and that the interviewer was wasting his time last night . When asked if he was  looking forward to making a difference for Port Vale  he replied “ I’m looking forward to making a difference in football “ .  Probably just me , and I’m looking forward  to seeing him in a Vale shirt. Good luck to him .,

I often wonder what the point of QPR is. They’ve done nothing for donkeys’ years and just been sat in the championship (somehow), although having said that I’d forgotten about the Tony Fernandes/Harry Redknapp era there

I seem to remember the fans of other London clubs had a QPR song, to the tune of The Happy Wanderer:

QPR, QPR, QPR,

QPR har har har har har......🙂
