Find out why before judging, Ben always gives his time to the fans, I’d guess he had picked up a late knock for which he needed treatment.

Only just reading through the thread so this may have been covered so apologies if it has

Garrity was very angry with the paddock when they groaned when he passed it back in the build up to the 2nd goal with a few shouting forwards,he looked at them and waved his arms about, then Clark scored,he didn't join in the celebrations he just turned to the paddock(I think it was to a group and not the paddock as a whole, who i thought were superb last night) and put his finger on his lips in a shushing motion,he still didn't join in and instead walked on his own into our half shaking his head as all the other outfield players were celebrating.

Personally I dont like to see this, moans and groans are part of football it happens(I didn't hear him personally get abuse which would of been different),I just hope this ONE incident on a fantastic night doesn't stick with him and make him want to leave.

Chin up captain

Spitting his dummy out. Had words with the fans after we scored our second goal. Sticking his fingers up to the crowd. Appalling, I don’t care if he’s the captain or not he’s not bigger than the club

Not sure he stuck his fingers up,I watched him, only caught the goal through the corner of my eye because of it,he said something yes but as for the other as i say i didn't see him do that

Side issue not just related to last night's great result v BRADFORD CITY.

At the start of this season PORT VALE FC made the decision to scrap producing matchday programmes as they claimed that only roughly 150 programmes were sold per home match. Myself I find it hard to believe that only 150 matchday programmes were sold per season. For me buying a matchday programme is all part of the matchday experience and YES it is the 21st century. But for every game which I attend I write out my own full match report, so that I have a record of the game's events. Don't know any other football league clubs who don't produce a programme and I have roughly 10,000. So as I don't get to many matches I buy a fanzine and put my match day record inside. For anyone going to Walsall on Saturday their programme this season is first class.

If Vale do get promoted please bring back the matchday programme.

Walters is going to be some player for us if he keeps on improving. He needs to work on his stamina so he doesn't tire so much in the second half, but he's a hell of a presence in midfield. He's a more gifted version of Anthony Griffiths.

100% this and i wasn't a fan of his tbf BUT a 19yr old bossed that Midfield last night whilst he was on the pitch, that is what i expected from Byers but this lad is younger and obviously a lot cheaper,we could just end up building around him if he continues

I think the majority of us would like us to play that way but there can be no doubt whatever way DM wants us to play in games it has continued to get us results this season and we cant argue with that

Certainly got us results…..not all good results mind.

Garrity and Croasdale are pretty similar in many ways. It's important that our other midfielder when playing with three offers something completely different, and he does that. If Byers can really get himself going then that's even better for us.

WHERE'S Queeny Bantam ⁉️🤣🤣🤣

Possibly having a cuppa with our very own Spunk Trumpet while tea is being cooked by Nippy Naylor 😉

And that’s fine. That’s your opinion & I respect that. Personally I was disappointed as he was the only one not to clap the fans. I don’t buy into maybe he had a knock. We know Garrity even with a knock he gets on with it. He played the last 10 mins against Notts I think it was hobbling & couldn’t even walk. It’s in his blood. Just didn’t like that at the end, be nice if some respected my opinion without taking it to heart & being a bit arsey mate

I respect your opinion, and I like many of your posts , as you’re always positive. Sometimes posts can be misinterpreted. I wasn’t being arsey. 🤣

Just imagine that first half plus how we played second half against Barrow.  NO ONe would be able to live with us.

Listened to the two commentators from Radio Leeds last night - why they were on commentating on TV god only knows.  BUT, they were very complimentary about us, how good we were, how well we played, how much more we wanted the whole game.

I can see other teams in the Prem/Championship wanting to take a look at Tolaj and Walters in the none too distant future...

On to Walsall. UTFV

We will be a selling club but with 3yr+ deals handed out it will be on our terms like with Dipepa,If we go up and they continue their form in League One then they will most certainly interest bigger clubs, you only have to look at how much Peterborough and Exeter sell players for(with big sell ons as well)

Also i do know that Shorrock was being looked at as well by bigger clubs at the same time Dipepa was being watched, the trick is to continue to try and sign those right players with potential they are out there(some we will get wrong that's obvious) and to promote from the Academy(not sure though if there are any potential stand outs from those about to leave the Academy?)

“i didn’t see any negativity from our fans at the end of the game towards me or the players”

No Graham, I don’t see any of your fans at the end of the game they all buggered off after the penalty save!

It was a great safety test for the facilities manager to demonstrate how to evacuate the stadium quickly.😂

Those calling him a coward or saying he's sulking, spitting his dummy out - whatever term you want to use, I'd love to see you do that to his face.

Jesus Christ. Can we just move on and enjoy the win...??

We're third, one of THE most in-form teams in the league, no one wants to play us.

Keep going Vale

I would like to offer my apology here, although i Haven't and never would call him any of those things I did bring the Garrity thing up not long ago BUT that was because I decided to read through the thread from last night and chose to reply to someone about it before reading the whole thread and not realising it had been mentioned 800 times after the post i quoted,it's obviously been done a death on here now so as you say lets move on and bring on Saturday with our captain pulling the strings

People know i try not to have a pop at players on here or the manager of course 🙂

One last thing. Im not a big fan of Hart but thought he, too, played well when he came on. Put some good challenges in and broke their play down a couple of times

Yes I was actually concerned when he came on but didn't need to be 🙂

Genuinely - anyone who shouts FORWARD shouldn't be allowed in. I'm not joking. Get them banned. Proper lovely footballing goal and Garrity had every right to rub the morons' faces in it.

There’s the issue. Dare I say that a  lot of fans just don’t understand the game enough, so when we keep the ball instead of launching it forwards or smashing in aimless crosses they start moaning. I’ve got no issue with Garrity reacting if it was aimed at some fans, they are quick to dish it out but also quick to moan when things aren’t going as they think they should be. As for him going down the tunnel, who knows why. I remember the days when the final whistle went and players would just shake hands with as few people as possible and be gone off the pitch in seconds. Leave it be and let’s move on the next game.

When you’ve been fed a diet of pointless sideways and backwards football for a long time, it can be hard to differentiate between that and a constructive backwards pass.
