I don't think making fun of how DM conducts his interviews is great. I realise he's used to it week in week out, perhaps he's not that comfortable.

I have had a microphone shoved in my face and was being videoed by a TV production company. Speak about yourself for two minutes they said.

My response was along the lines of, Ermmmm I'm Darren errmmmm I'm from Newcastle Staffordshire ermmmmm.

It's very difficult. No need mock the bloke.

By all means criticise his football but personally I don't think there's any need for mockery.

Rooney suffered with it for years and to a lesser degree so has Harry Kane. Regardless of the fact that they are two of England's all time great scorers both get mimicked over their interview technique.

Moan about DM football by all means but it's childish mocking how he speaks. My opinion of course.

Another pathetic example of our embarrassing fanbase beating the club or in this situation the manager at any given opportunity unfortunately mate

He came up with plan B at half time Tuesday and he has also reacted during previous games to change systems etc so I dont agree with your statement here

So you don't agree Darren sets the team up not to lose every game ,  He's ultra cautious it's not even an argument but opinions vary don't they🤔 me old china

Would also add the guy in the 4th row back is at fault. Once the ball passed Smith he had plenty of time to shout out to Amos " watch out its coming "

I think the guy you mention is D.D Himself, he couldn't warn Amos - he was too busy berating Smith !

It’s a genuine question, Nippy.

Why did you post significantly less after the MK game?

I don't see the point in posting negatives when we've won a game but I'm not going to change me mind on Darren , I just dunner rate his lucky dip team selections and his ultra cautious tactics and the football is bloody dire to watch but that's just my opinion of course hope that clears things up for you , Joe

My opinion won't change that Moore is the worst manager we have ever had. The only thing he has done well is to get a good balanced squad together. However, constant team changes & defensive line ups are appalling. You should always play your strongest team. If someone gets injured, replace them with the next best. There is no reason for ever playing 3 centre backs at home.

I'm taking financial resources into account with my opinion

A few games ago, the permacritics were on Darren's case because we were drawing too many games, and that isn't good enough for promotion.

Their view was that we should go for more wins, even if that meant losing rather than drawing some of the matches.

In our last 3 games, we have Won 2 and Lost 1, i.e. we have done exactly what the critics said they wanted.

That's an average of 2 points per game over those 3 games.

If we can continue to average 2 points per game over our remaining 8 games, we will finish on 80 points and almost certainly gain automatic promotion.

Could you please hold fire on your endless criticism until the season is completed, and we actually know what has and hasn't been achieved?

Come on Alan, you can’t possibly have watched our last 2 matches and say we had a right good go at them and attacked?

15 minutes last night.

I feel like I have been duped by DM.

He sat right in front me at the start of the season and told me to my face he wanted to play on the front foot and get after teams. I’ve seen very little evidence over 19 home games.

I can’t ever remember being so bored watching Vale play football….

@MBE,

I've watched our last 3 games and have seen that we won 2 of them and had many chances to win or at least draw the 3rd.

The EFL doesn't give points for artistic interpretation (that's not intended to be a jibe) but only for the actual results.

And that's what interests me most, to get enough points to get us up and out of EFL2.

Of course I would also like to see Vale playing the silken football of Rudgie's best years - but that is a nice-to-have; points and promotion now is what I want us ALL to have.

Barrow's few efforts on goal included their actual goal which somehow threaded its way through a forest of legs, and which would have been blocked 99 times out of 100.

Vale's first-half performance on Tuesday was unacceptably poor.

Vale's second-half performance was very decent, not just the 4 hits on the woodwork, but all of the last-ditch blocks and saves they forced out of Barrow.

On another day (that is not a Tuesday evening), Vale win that game by a stretch.

Please have another look -

They do and i think you know very well what i actually think of his football but my issue was that he certainly has more than just a plan A and has changed formations during games

I saw someone post a stat, now I aren't one for checking up on it so lets hope they are correct(no reason to doubt it)

The much loved Micky Adams 2012/13...... 38 games played .... 64 points

The much loved DC 2021/22 ...... 38 games played 63 points

The much ridiculed DM 2024/25 ...... 38 games played 64 points

Alan, I’m not bothered about silky football, I want to see us going after a team at home. I don’t think that is too much to ask. You referred in your OH post that’s what we did. We simply didn’t until 20 minutes from the end.

Our efforts over the past 2 games have been well below par and certainly not attacking. I watched Tuesdays highlights again and look who was on the pitch when we created chance after chance and we were on the front foot. Rico. When was Rico subbed? Last 20 minutes it’s not acceptable for a team going for promotion at home. It was bad management and poor from the players as it was Saturday.

I honestly can’t remember being so fed up watching our team going for promotion and that’s down to the manager and the mentality he’s instilled on home games. Its quite sad really we should be all excited to watch the team sat in 4th only on GD.

@MBE

I'm sorry, but I can only wonder what you are watching???

The second half highlights start at 2 minutes 50 seconds on the video -

We were going after them and all over them for nearly the whole of the second half.

Anyone seen Barrow’s twitter post? Just totally bizarre, our twitter account didn’t say they were lucky at all (which they were - yes we were crap first half but another day we win that 4-1). Then you get a bunch of gimps saying ‘great patter.’

Then when you point out they’re bunch of weird morons, they reply ‘rattled 🤣🤣’.

Just really can’t stand this sort of ‘banter’. Having a colonoscopy would be funnier.

Also goes for when our fans do it to other clubs.
