Folk who generally focus on a negative all the time are not happy clappers as a rule.  I‘m old enough to know.  As for DM, he’s not really at the front of my thoughts right now because for me we’re doing fine with a totally new team.  Folk are bashing on about the squad but a few injuries on top of what we’ve got already could have a big Impact on the team.  Fair to say we have a strong squad on paper but plenty of teams could say that in the past, it guarantees nothing.  Mansfield is a fine example.  Clough backed every season but how long has it taken them to gain promotion.  Using your thinking he should’ve been sacked long ago.

I'm not the manager!

As I see it.. Vale should certainly be more positive at home.

I won’t be blocking anyone, thanks all the same.👍🏻

You get my respect for not climbing on the clique bandwagon.

I've blocked him nevertheless.

I notice that Nippy and Killer are in the top 4 posters of this thread and yet nowhere near in the Swindon thread........ how odd 😉

Sorry for posting about Stoke on here again but my god they are making me laugh my head.

Ex player slaughtering them when being 6-1 up.

Sacking a manager after winning 7 out of 10 games.

But it’s really good to see them win the league title on Wednesday night

It OK BJ we know you support Stoke probably as well as Vale.

Good win for them they were never going down anyway I tuned in watched till Cannon scored first then switched it over to champions league as could see that  Portsmouth were well short of championship level in fact I'd say last year's Pompeys  team would beat them on just the opening 15 mins alone

Credit to them for hammering them but they hammered Rotherham last season so they put 1 or 2 good performances in a season

Just to add that the lad who got 4 goals was slated by every fan on saturday, some even saying he wasn't National League level

OK I apologise not that it would matter if you did .

Vale need be banging in 6 in home games

Someone posted family issues which I'm sure is true.
But he was in the fanzone a couple of weeks ago on match day .
So on the face of it he's out of favour completely. Seems odd he's ok to be having chats and selfies but not in the squad.
Only DM and Smith know.
I believe he has had family issues but he IS fit and available for selection.

Totally agree. This is league 2…not the champions league. We will have some bumps in the road.

Can some set up a ranters section where folks can just abuse each other out in the Normid 5 car park area and the rest of us can chat about the beautiful game.

Really weird to read some of the stuff on here. I would go so far as to say some of it is bizarre, surely it’s just trolling or people that don’t understand football or both maybe? We're only 9 games into the season and are in the play off spots only 4 points off top and on the back of a 5 match unbeaten run. Things aren’t always going to go our way in games like Tuesday showed. We might get subs right or they might not work.  We’ll miss chances and make mistakes. That’s just football for you. I just don’t understand what people’s expectations are right now to be questioning a managers position during the run we’re on now.

Who's questioning the manager .

Obviously if ahead and opposition score and get a point in 90th minute folk going be asking how has that happened .

Anyone who understand football will see that first half Colchester spent 20 minutes out the 54 lying on the floor, which stopped us getting any head of steam up at all ,so I'd say no more that 34 mins was played in that half they frustrated the life out of home supporters and the ref was part of the embarrassing antics .

It's gone now and folk will want better performances moving forwards .

Would you say after Debrahs goal our performance level was acceptable for a home team

I'd say it wasn't

At risk of getting absolute pelters for this wonder if Conor Grant might come into the reckoning for a midfield spot now? Gives a ball playing option in there and so long as you have a willing runner in Croasdale or Garrity alongside him can probably cover for his lack of speed.

Why would you expect to get pesters? It's a valid point, Grant is technically very good and can pass a ball.

He's a centre midfielder that can play wide not the other way round.

And judging by his goals for Plymouth and Doncaster he can certainly shoot

Worth a try I'd say and a great suggestion

Fine, whatever you choose.

Other people may find it useful.

Agreed, I'd like to see us set up more offensively for home games, I don't mind the cautious approach away from home but for god's sake let's make vale park a fortress again and attack the opposition from the get go
