After many years of supporting the Vale through thick and thin, home and away, for the first time every I really don't want to go tomorrow night, I just don't think I can face it anymore.....what is wrong with me ?

Nothing wrong with you fella your just hurting so badly .

I said to my lady yesterday who went her first game with me this season sat that I really should be there tonight ,she replied no you shouldn't they have hurt you enough.

She's so right

ENOUGH been the word that describes how i feel about Vale at present ,had enough ,seen enough, enough to drive you to utter misery.

You don't do what them players (not all there are ones who care) have majority of this season done to supporters in fact they being doing it consistently since Jan 2023, and have because of other clubs and Bristol Rovers have there bellies tickled by us and virtually letting us win this outcome would have been 12 months earlier .

I'm.shocked we have got even worse but not surprised .

Every Vale fan is hurting apart from my mate who is looking forwards to Chesterfield away and he says THIS IS VALE go up come from.Burslem Town have a few promotions but always end up going down

Why though

Because when they players put them shirts on they don't put everything  they have in gamely, and if anything just see it as a job .

You can in body language lot of time that

If not how do you explain playing brilliantly to get 2- 0 ahead then come out and wander round like you had headed to Rhyl beach second half

Looked like it to me

In fact I'd say they would have to do something incredible from here in too survive

It's not going happen

Mentality is about as strong as a new born puppy.

Match day 😳 2-1 Vale. Burton 1-1 Cheltenham. Call me mad or super optimistic but until that R is next to our name I’ll cling onto any hope whatsoever 😂 That could be completely shattered by 9.30 tonight!

I think smith has had an awful season personally and has become very complacent probably because of a ridiculous contract extension and for me it is time for him to move on

Most the season he has been very poor but he has been messed about in different positions. The last 5 or 6 games when he has been played in the center (the only position he should ever be played at, IMO) he has played very well again. He is easily our best center back and that is part of our problem as I think Debrah and Yak would much rather be playing in the center. We are weak at the wing back positions and unless we can find 2 good wing backs then we should change our formation to 4 at the back.

That doesn’t seem to far fetched a result. Cheltenham are capable of beating Burton, after all, we were!

Real problem for me is that tonight’s results could give us false hope. Thanks to Saturday we need something at Bolton really, and that will certainly not happen.

Yeah Saturday was a killer! We had a great chance to boost our survival hopes & totally fell apart 🤦‍♂️

Better for Cheltenham to win tonight. If that happens and we win tonight then we are level points with Burton and 2 points ahead of Cheltenham. We can then hope Cheltenham don’t win another game which is a high chance, Burton don’t get another win which is a very high chance and we get at least a draw against either Bolton or Cambridge.

I reckon 6 points form our last 3 games and we will stay up but we must win tonight.

I believed that, but Burton showed against Stevenage they are capable of a nasty, tough to beat performance that could see them through. That’s how we should have played the 2nd half against Exeter, low tempo, time wasting, staying behind the ball…

Moore just said carry on like the 1st half, which was simply stupid. We couldn’t keep that tempo up for 90.

It just seems we have given the job to another prat.

Burton have the most favourable run in of all 3 of us. 2 home games then away at fleetwood. Come on dazzler work your magic tonight 👊🏻

Looked to me like the gaffer said keep it tight for the first 15 mins. We certainly didn’t try to replicate the first half performance

We totally have…..I realised after 2 games we had given the job to the wrong manager and he will take us down. Saying that, I’m all for giving him a chance and are happy to give him 6 months next season to see if he can get us back up, Carol has shown she gives her full backing to those working under her but will call it time if it isn’t working, like it or not, we have given him a 5.5 year contract so we should be giving him at least 12 months to prove himself. This is Flitcrofts parting gift, he has done untold damage to the progress we have made in the last few years.

Im counting on the Burton result at Stevenage being a one off fluke, they were playing against 10 men for a chunk of the game.

Well Stevenage did get one goal back with 10 men, so it’s just the 4 goal swing, not the 5..

It's the hope that kills you.

I'm struggling to see a scenario where we win tonight. Confidence must be shot to pieces. Wycombe only lost 1 in last 7 league games. Held Derby to a draw last week and won at Shrewsbury on Saturday.

We ain't winning tonight.

Unlikely dream land:

Tonight

Vale win

Cheltenham beat Burton.

Burton 43

Vale 43

Cheltenham 41

Saturday

Vale lose to Bolton

Burton lose to Reading

Cheltenham lose to Lincoln

Burton 43

Vale 43

Cheltenham 41

Tuesday

Cheltenham lose to Posh

Saturday

Vale better Burton’s result

There’s probably a 5% chance of it happening, but there it is. Burton have to lose tonight and we have to win, and then we have to pray they don’t win again.

Saw the highlights on YouTube of that game. The first Burton goal hit the lads back and went in. He wasn't even facing the goal. The sending off was given by the lino. Must of been an off the ball incident. That killed the game and Burton got a well worked second goal.

I'd swap Cheltenham and Reading at home and Fleetwood away with our fixtures all day long unfortunately.
