Any Goodbye's from the players?

Apologies if this has already been discussed elsewhere but as I couldnt make the Oxford game yesterday I was just wondering if any of our higher profile players (Rico, Griff etc) appeared to maybe be waving goodbye to the fans yesterday at the final whistle? We've known for a while one of our players (at least) has agreed a deal elsewhere and there has been lots of speculation who it could be, but I just wondered if it became clearer yesterday?

In the tunnel Rico`s two children had new Port Vale shirts on with Daddy Richards on the rear,I wouldent of bought 2 shirts if I was leaving????

It looked like Rigg was going, the way Griff patted him on the back etc., when he was subbed.

I'm surprised that he would play any player yesterday, if they were off.

I'm surprised he hasn't given Roe another go.

Will we try 3 at the back again next season. Clayton seemed like a man reborn yesterday.

You would presume that Roe was going, and I really hope 3/5 at the back isn't the plan. It seems like mickys only plan B, and although it tightens the defence up, we won't score many and won't get promoted that way.

Don't know if you can read anything into it but Rigg was the only player to give his top and shirt away to someone near the tunnel after the lap of honour! And Dodds gave his boots away.

 

Must say that IMO they did look like a sort of family if you know what I mean.

Allegedly when Marc Richard bought arranged to have his kids as mascots on the last day, he said to the people in charge "as its my last game in a Vale Shirt" could he have his kids come out with him on the pitch

Really hope RICO doesn't go. There's a real feel good factor at the moment and the summer will feel a bit of a squib if we have to think of finding a replacement.

I use the word allegedly because I was told this info by someone in the shop at the time. However what he alo said is that Rico winked at the person when he said it. So whether he was jokng or not is another issue. As some people have said to me in the past Rico is a prankster so we will yes just have to wait and see.

I think the wink would suggest that he was just having a giggle.

 

If he genuinely believes that Vale have a brighter future now the old board have been ousted then I think he'll be more than happy to stay and lead our forward line.

things may change once adams talks to them this week if they decide to leave then we move on, there will be 100's of players out of contract and free agents so we will see, going to an interesting few months.
