Next 2 home games

It may seem a strange time to be proposing cheap offers, but maybe the Admin guy or whoever decides things these days could look at boosting the next couple of home gates.

How about reducing the £20.50 (silly price) to £16 for the Hereford and Dagenham games and having a 'Keep the change for a £20 note' campaign with a bucket at each turnstile.

Those that could afford a little extra would therefore give a £20 note and tell the turnstile operator to put the £4 change in the bucket (hopefully not taxable too!).

Those who are truly financially challenged (a bit skint!) would take their change and get in for £16.

I reckon this is a gamble worth taking and might add a few hundred or so to the gate, and increase the net receipts.

Looking back a few months, the £5 offer we had for a home game seems insane now but this one could only lose a tiny amount if it didnt work but is likely to be a winner and also keep people interested in coming to Vale Park.

Be careful with that, some people could say it was optional tax evasion.

Whats to say the turnstile operator would'nt put the 4 quid in his pocket?

Any donation anywhere in cash has that risk, someone could dip into a bucket whether it is vale or Children in need or whatever. Sealed collection devices (allowing money to be put in but not taken out except by a key holder) are available but personally I would trust our turnstile people, Ive always found them to be friendly and good natured.

The reason most areas of the ground need a ticket purchased from the ticket office is because of a fiddle by turnstile operators.

This fiddle was suspected by the old board of directors. Why did they suspect this, because thats exactly what they would have done their selves!
