I have never understood the introduction of a £20.50 entrance fee, what's that all about?

The season ticket price means that the club lose money on a matchday unless they charge double.

I think it was also a punishment to those of us who would rather not buy a season ticket from the evil gnome.

It needs to be assessed the link between S/Ts and Pay as you Go, compare other clubs, maybe a 10 ticket offer? Above £20 is a deterrent.

under mold there would have been less than 4k so 1500 up even though season is over

barnet must have bought 50 tops

not bad to be fair, and if Mo gets in then st sales will improve m,assively for next season

Thing is we go on about our potential blah blah..but when it comes to he crunch people still find a reason not to go!

We had 8500 against shrewsbury last year. Where have the other 3000 gone?

Do we want the club to survive?

*** get off your **** and stop finding excuses.

2 matches in one week £40 plus I get 53 quid a week will you pay for my ticket ?

No they don't. The matchday price is set higher to encourage the purchase of a season ticket so that the club have most of their seasons matchday income upfront. That was the model Bradford used and we copied (i know because I was involved in target 5000 with the SC). If they know their budget upfront they shouldn't lose money. It sort of makes sense but I think the matchday price is set far to high. I also think the club could be far more imaginative in ticketing arrangements with eg a book of tickets to cover 5 games eg 5 for the price of 4. Trouble is that was to much trouble for the old guard.

Disappointing.

Would love to know from those that did not go today why not..

Stockport had more at home in the conference.

I was expecting 6500 to 7000.

I was doing some volunteer work the other side of Leek until 4. Even if I hadn't been, it would have been hard to find £40 (plus parking and money for the SC fund) in a week for football when I don't work (student bum apparently).

Was a little shocked to read the attendance in today's paper though. I expected more considering we officially went into admin on Friday and won well on Tuesday. Guess times are hard for more people than just me.

Here's a list of folk who didn't attend yesterday:

Mike Lloyd

Glenn Oliver

Perry Deakin

Peter Miller

Bill Bratt

Stan Meigh

I suppose we should be thankful the crowd wasn't a 6 bigger after all!

Stan Meigh was there Tuesday, don't mind him so much other t****** plz keep away.

It doesnt help when there is no family deals theres no imagination in the pricing its a joke.

Family ticket 20 quid if theres four of u u will make the money on what u buy in the stadium,a programme 3 quid 4 dairy milks 4 quid ,drinks for all the family say about a tenner.

Under 21 with a student card 8 quid if brings a non supporting Vale fan a tenner for the 2 of them.

A season ticket 170 quid no more lets have a push get the pledge 5000 back.

A bucket collection weekly to buy new talent from non league a new Ian Taylor could be out there i would gladly donate 2 quid every home game if everyone would then we could get a real gem .

Agree it is over priced. For me it would be one of the first things a new owner should address, once all the admin stuff is sorted of course. As someone else has said, the area is one of the worst paid in the country, yet we have the most expensive admission in our league (If I remember rightly, every other club has at least some seats available for less that £20.50).

Not sure about bringing a non-vale mate though. You'd just get people saying they aren't Vale fans when they are, just to get in cheaper. The only way it would work is if we had a ticket only game, stopped selling them the day/week before the game, then announced it as a deal once the ticket office was closed. That way anyone who was going to go anyone would have got a ticket, meaning any tag-alongs are additional people.

"Stockport had more at home in the conference." (Simcity47)

Stockport did indeed have a big attendance on Saturday v Cambridge. However, this was not their norm; it was because it was the first day that their fans could Register for next seasons ST and pick their seats; no payment required till May unless you're flush and wish to pay in advance. They have a special offer of £120 adult/£60 kids which is guaranteed if they can sell 5,500 STs - money returned if they don't sell enough. This was enticing enough to attract an extra 1400 or so fans over their previous best gates (v Wrexham and Luton, I think)

Not sure they'll hit the 5,500 mark though.
