Mo Chaudry will have us in the Champions League within 10 years

Mo's optimism is there for everyone to see- he may not have the hundreds of millions that would catapult us to the summit of the Premiership like Man City but he certainly has the business acumen and hunger to take us as far as possible and we certainly have the fan base to match what Stoke have achieved and perhaps go one step further.

I've been keeping a keen eye on his Facebook page that is littered with hope and a future for this club. Mo knows where we all want to be-competing at the highest level with Stoke. Champions League is not impossible in my opinion. Just imagine- 26,000 roaring Vale fans backing Mickey and the lads against the likes of Barcelona. I'm not being unrealistic as it would obviously require slow, organic growth to achieve this. Anyone agree?

Without getting carried away, lets just concentrate on the near future for now and making sure this football club has a future and comes through the other side of administration in a better state. And before we even get to that stage lets make sure we make it to administration and not the dreading "L" word.

This could be the most important period in the clubs long history. So lets get through this before we start looking 10 years down the line in a fantasy world.

Yeah, agree entirely, but don't feel we could ever be a champions league club, with gates of 26,000. If we ever got to the prem I could see us being more of a Fulham type club. Given time then maybe even a Bolton type club. I honestly think though that in order to grow our gates we would need to relocate to a new ground.

A Nice thought but to be honest I would be happy with a club that can be challenging at the top of Div 1, such is the change that we have seen in football finances in the last 10 years, I don't think that we have the following to hold our own in the championship.....

Disagree entirely with the last bit, just look at Peterborough.

Haha, brilliant. As much as I'd like to believe Richard... The more I read his comments the more sarcastic I think they are. I honestly would love to believe you though mate.

I think everyone would agree that Port Vale has the potential to enjoy the same sort of success as Fulham.

People may laugh now, but I'd encourage everyone to have a look at the league tables 10 years ago and look at where some of those Premiership clubs were.

People forget that only 7 years ago Man City recorded a 4,000 home gate in a Cup game (against Walsall I believe).
