Macc players go on strike

Interesting opinion piece. 😕

The writer mentions how they sympathise with Macc but later adds that it's "it's always Crewe and Crewe fans first" and concludes that poor Crewe (not the Macc fans or the players and staff owed money) are apparently the "victims" 😇

I won’t click through but I’m assuming that it’s Morse who wrote that. He’s odd.

How about removing all the points that Crewe won with players coached by that rampant paedo?  It would put them in the Cheshire County League.

EDIT: oh you meant Barry

10 point deduction confirmed by the EFL with 4 suspended so -6 points currently, any further issues would be another 4 gone plus new charges.

New Year will be critical for them... guess who they play first game after pay day.

It’s difficult to see how Macc can finish the season if their ground is not safe. It will be a sad day if they go under. It sounds like your game was a good one yesterday, Cheltenham are a good side!

It looks like Macc are about to lose four or five of their key players.  Vale having played what was in effect the full strength Macc team twice, Crewe will be playing the much weaker Macc team twice because of the postponement on their earlier game.  I trust Crewe will agree this is unfair and demand that the EFL intervene.

Yes, and the manager has quit now.  guessing he wasn't being paid?  What a mess!

Whatever the benefits or lack thereof to other clubs the main sadness here is employees not getting paid and secondary to that, a club looking over the precipice.

For all our criticism of our former owner (and there was much to criticise him for) I’m not aware he ever failed to pay the wages on time.

Very true Jean, however he just added to his ‘exit fee’ so in effect it is Carol and Kevin who footed the bill.
