Port Vale closing in on 2,000 season ticket sales

I think we will struggle to get 3000. If we start off well we might get more walk ups. Problem is, if we do start well Norman will probably do his traditional weakening the team in the January window and ruin it again.

Says who? Although OVF is allegedly only a small minority of the fan base there have been quite a number of people on here saying that they have decided not to renew after 10+ seasons. The fact that we may have a better squad than lst season isn't much to encourage people to go, we were awful and only just avoided relegation from the football league last season and once again have had a massive change in personnel on the pitch. There aren't many veteran fans favourites in the squad apart from Popey and Smith.

1st for me as I renewed this morning over the phone instead of calling in to the TO. Answered within 3 rings, sorted within a minute or 2, very polite and professional. Just got me thinking after I put the phone down had I called the right club:unsure:

If we get close to 3,000 I think we've done ok given the last two seasons have been a relegation followed by a struggle to stay in the fourth division. There's been no marketing outside of official club channels and no real push. Not being pessimistic here, but the reality is that we just finished 88th of 92 and for every Luton match there were 5 terrible matches.

 

I'm a big believer in tying fans in through season tickets but there's been no push to make this happen so we have to hope that we have a good season, and it'll work out financially better for the club with the additional 'pay on the gate' fans.
