Locally guys if you look out for The Rivalry and The Matrix Club Mix Band, they are great seent hen both 3 or 4 times now and always a great night and good crowd

The Kills are awesome.

 

Saw them live at Leeds festival in the summer and seen them a fair few times elsewhere. Really good.

 

Have you heard the dead weather? That's Alison Mosshart's other band with Jack white in. Also really good.

bands i have got into this year:

 

algiers: an indie rock duo who divide opinion (well mine and tophers anyway)

 

 

cuba cuba: welsh, jingly jangly, pop punk/indie hybrid, a bit cheesy but hella catchy

 

(not my favourite song but they recently made this video for it, so thought i'd link it)

 

tellison: i have loved these for years but 2011 saw them release their 2nd album and it would be liked by tons more indie fans if they knew it existed and gave it a go (as would their first album for that matter)

i am the avalanche: featuring vinnie caruana (ex vocalist in the movielife), another band that released a long awaited 2nd album this year, and it's actually my album of 2011. touring in early december with support from awesome uk punk band 'apologies, i have none' - it's not to be missed
