Wasn't he on the verge of joining Bradford on January deadline day for £500,000 only for the deal to break down at the last minute?

 

As said above, not a chance of getting him, even with their relegation to the National League.

Done a search and it was reported that the deal to sell him to Bradford on January deadline day was for either £125,000 or £175,000 - so nothing like the £500,000 that I mentioned previously.

 

Still a fair amount though, and you would think that Chesterfield would want at least £50,000 for him, even accounting for their relegation?

If we sign Dennis then that would be a club backing their manager as he will cost around £100k. It would fill me with optimism for next season. We'd only be a dominant centre back away from a competitive first 11 then.
