I am not constantly criticising him as such, just saying that we have other players who are probably already better.

 

Every time he's mentioned, you criticise him. At least it seems that way.

I am concerned that he is becoming the new Achille Campion, he was going to be our saviour because he was doing ok in the reserves.

Comparing ADF to other midfielders like Pugh, Kay and Tonge is pointless because ADF is more mobile than those. I think he is competing with Reeves, Harness, Worral, Montano and Whitfield for that more free role in midfield thats just behind the forwards or out wide. Someone who can get up and around Pope, carry the ball forward to releive pressure, get back in and defend or create something.

 

Naturally when someone is playing poorly then the other players not playing are suddenly elevated in their perceived quality, so is ADF a better option than those already playing? I'm not sure he is, but if hes doing well in reserves then surely he deserves a chance in the first team squad? Am I right in thinking he hasn't played under Aspin yet?

Think people are just fed up of watching the woeful Pugh and either kay or tongue in midfield. All 3 offer very little especially Pugh. Adf had proved nothing at vale he's not scored and hasn't created much but he does have an engine and offers much more to the side that Pugh.

I don't think adf offers anything more than harness, look how good a reception he gets. I am sure adf is a great lad but we need a battle hardened creative midfielder now not in 20 games time.
