If this is true then there can be only one explanation I can think of for Smurthwaite's decision and that is that he wants to take the club down into the National League. At a financial level I will cost less to finance a team in that league and at a personal level it will be payback time for all those fans who have upset him and his family. Make no mistake, he is a nasty man and the Vale means absolutely nothing to him apart from being a means of carrying out his personal vendetta against the fans.

If this is true,(I don't doubt it)The only action the fans should take now, is to stay away from ALL home games. Go to away games, as that will not put money into the blueskinned to$$ers pocket.

Against a glorified pub team. Holding on for a 1-0 lead against that shower? The only rubbish being spouted is by you mate, if you think either ha,f performance was what should be expected from a group of players who have lost 6 on the bounce. If I was manager of this team today, from the off, Forest Green wouldn't have wanted to live any longer let alone play against us.
