I should imagine the likes of Dodds and Rigg will feature a lot more now for the remainder of the season.

 

I'm sure Grew will go back to a basic 4-4-2, and for me the side pretty much picks itself apart from maybe one or two positions.

I had said boycott the game but now gannon as gone thats all changed. yes protest against the board before and after the matches. but lets get behind the lads who before christmas looked dead certs for the top 3 lets get right behind them make ourselves that 12th man.

I wrote that I wouldn't be attending any more matches until the board have been replaced, but if Roberts, Owen and Collins are picked to play, I might be tempted to go and see the Vale thrash Hereford 3-0.

Thomlinson with a back four of Yates/McCoombe/Owen/Collins picks itself

and Martin/Sutton/K.Taylor on the bench which is half the team sorted.

Morsy is still young and with 10 cup finals the more experienced players are needed in midfield.

The question over the central midfield is whether to partner last seasons player of the year Griffiths with Roberts or go for Loft and Roberts.

In many ways Vale played their best football with Loft and Roberts

and Roberts plays too deep which is Griffiths role.

So the two possible midfields are Loft/Griffith/Roberts/Dodds or it

could be Dodds/Roberts/Loft/Rob Taylor.....would go for the first

and save Rob Taylor as a super sub.

Upfront it is simply between Justin Richards and Pope on who partners

Marc Richards.

Haldane is next to useless with no end product and doesn't create or score but is good at track and field but nonetheleass has a place on the bench.

 

So for me the best 11 is....

With the exception of the one time Captain Tommy Fraser now gone to
