Ray Williams made a very valid point about all these off the pitch appointments including a paid CEO and Chairman, and where the money is coming from to fund such salaries on gates well below the break-even point.

 

I'm all for Deakin trying to make the club more professional off the pitch, but feel he is going too far, too soon. Get things moving forwards on the pitch and the rest will take care of its self.

I agree with Ray's comments you outlined in the first paragraph. Also, his commentary provides real insight into the Vale and previous transfer dealings/players Vale were interested in etc, makes for fascinating listening.

 

As for Deakin moving to fast, he's dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't.

 

However, Ray is obviously pro-MC and his (Ray Williams) comments that MC couldn't have done any more and would make Vale a debt free club are woefully off the mark.
