So he wants the long suffering Vale fans to stand back and watch the Bolton players celebrate with the Bolton fan's at 'Vale Park'This just rub's salt into the wound's.Bolton have a home game with Peterborough to play yet.Let them have their party at their ground.

A better way would be to keep the Bolton fans behind for a short while.Let the Vale players do their lap of honour(hope no one get's injured running that far in one go)IF Bolton are going to celebrate with their fan's let them do so after the Vale players have done their lap of honour. This would help with keeping the Bolton fans behind for the short while.

I guess this has been done in case there is a problem the club will have shown they have at least issued a plan.

Too much common sense from melv its blindingly obvious what should be done.

Doing it this way there will be nobody there when Bolton have finished.

This pathetic idea by 'Super Smurf' make's my idea earlier in the week seem even better.

Final whistle just turn around and walk out in SILENCE no applause,no booing. No protest.Nothing.Just turn around walk out the ground. Then go the pub or go home. The club from 'Root to branch' have not earned anything to deserve an applause.

There was no issue when we had a promotion party at Wycombe? I don't remember you calling for us to wait a week at that point?

I agree with Phil. It has come to point where everything that Smurf says, people want to dismiss it right away. If it is to be their day in the sun, then so be it as long the police can control it. I was at Rochdale in the promotion season when we were minutes from promotion. I asked a steward at the front if we can go on to the pitch to celebrate. The guy said "We have been instructed to let you on, only if you are promoted". Rochdale equalised, that was that. So fair game if Bolton gain promotion.

The difference being that some Vale are very very frustrated,at the end of their tether with what is happening with the club. This is like rubbing salt into the wound's.

Could you hazard a guess, completely out of the blue, as to WHY everything Smurf now says is treated with contempt and dismissed right away ?

If he has any sense whatsoever he won't be within 10 miles of Vale Park tomorrow in any case.

Absolutely any reason to have a dig at Norman. Fair play to Bolton they have had a good season. Why not let them celebrate.

Shouldn't make a difference. Why would Bolton care? Because we are pissed off we should treat Bolton differently than we have been treated in the past?

Safety matters, and for that reason Melv is totally correct that Bolton should be kept locked in, and only allowd to celebrate on the pitch if promoted, when all Vale fans have left the stadium. They wouldn't care, and better to be safe than have innocents get hurt by stupid actions.

Given in already?

They ain't up yet and may well not get promoted. Hopefully there won't be any reason for them to celebrate.
