valiant1981 , the rumour of the working not starting at chat whit for 12 months came from the c of e meeting on friday night hosted by bill bratt acting as chair and mick ede head of the c of e. so that snippet of info came direct from the club!

Did they say why?BHW.

Thanks for that, but the quote from Jacko51 was in relation to my comment on the post below and not actually to do with the CW training ground.

Was it mentioned that the stand work too would not start for another 12 months?

1) Moving the club shop to more prominent position on the Hamil

2) Finishing RW suite bringing in more income streams

3) Moving the family stand to the new completed seating area

4) Aesthetically finished look to the stadium

Hand in hand this will enable more money being freed up to invest in the team''

valiant1981, no none of the other points were discussed as the meeting concerned plans relating to the c of e only . chat whit does involve the c of e plus other potential areas of the club .

as for other points relating to the investment as highlighted by carpetmans post . do people not think that those points will be irrelevant unless the thousands of missing fans return through the gates ?

as without those fans returning the club shop will still be 20/25 percent down on takings,

the rw suite will be as empty as the function room is on matchday ,

the family stand will become obselete as younger generations of fans are lost to the lure of the premier league and the paint and plastic will just age and fade away with the ageing fanbase.

investment in the team, will make the off pitch investment worthwhile not vice versa.

Thanks, so it seems we are no nearer to finding out whether Jacko does know more 'facts' than the rest of us.

As for the rest, its been discussed to death on other threads, I would prefer to stay on topic.

oh sorry, if it is a straight forward does jacko no more facts than the rest of us i would have to say yes . mainly because jacko is usually well informed imo . will that suffice?

Exactly, so in this era of transparency, why are we not receiving further information from these people 'in the know'?

Because presumably the whole thing goes T I T s up if word gets out beforehand - a bit like transfer deals or summat.

Or it's all a load of footballs.

Well perhaps B&G, which as far as I am aware Jacko51 is part of, should stop banging on about transparency if they can't adhere to these principles themselves.

P.S not tweed?

Black and Gold are starting to show themselves up a bit recently. That 'press release' a couple of weeks ago being one such example.
