If we are going to judge who the fans want in control of the club by how loud the Paddock cheers then they clearly want that bloke in his socks and no keks who ran on a few weeks ago as chairman - he got a far bigger cheer than Boomer!!

Was his pole as big though?

The last thing Vale need is Americanised "celebrations". We've already got that dreadful goal music. What next? Janet Jackson attempting to score or perhaps we can play the stars n stripes before every game to salute the £400k that is going to pay off a % of debt and Bill Bratt.

Come on - flag waving - is this really what the club needs?

Boomer has just come running past the Paddock holding an American flag and bar for one or two boos was universally and loudly cheered by fans in the Paddock.

Seems those that go are in favour of the deal.

typical vale fans applaud anything  I booed as i dont want yanks involved in my club!!!

so much for we want vale fans based in England........ as the board stated!!!!

cringed at an american flag being flown at vale park........next we will have doughnut kiosks and big foam hands being sold in shop along with american football shirts and flags!!!!

I really hate 'Glad All Over'...

It was Diana Ross...although perhaps Jean Jackson could try and score?

Patriotism - the last vestige of the scoundrel - and we have plenty of them.

So the fans that went to the match, cheered the flag of the USA, but booed the players. Is that what the "real fans" do?

There wasnt many boos to be fair. And no obviously what real fans do it sit at home, dont go to the game, then moan a lot. What great bunch of fans we have ===

Come on Twitter, we can see you viewing.

Do you not accept how utterly pathetic your original post was?

Maybe the title of the thread could have been less provocative I accept that. However, I stand by what I said. There was plenty of vocal cheering when Boomer ran past with both flags. The only ones that have downplayed the cheering are those who are against the investment in all fairness. The cheers were not just for Boomer either because that was the loudest cheer he got all game.

I'm not against the investment - I'm keeping an open mind - people were cheering and laughing because it was funny, not because they see the Americans as our saviours
