Spot on...... and if the season carries on as it is doing "The real fans" will cause more unrest then any anti board supporters, its a good job they do care for the club or else Pope would get serious stick.

These same "real fans" are the ones who were booing the team last week too.

Fine - slag him off all you like, it seems to be the trend for Vale fans these days - but when are we going to start asking questions of this shytte defence? 6 goals conceded against Southend and Wimbledon says it all. If we can't stop the oppo from sticking in to our net, it doesn't matter whether we have Tom Pope or Wayne Rooney up front, we are still going to lose. I've posted on here before - until we keep clean sheets, we are going to slide down this league. Full stop, the end.

Sad really as you can see how much playing for the club means to him.

But there is no room for sentiment, and sadly, Popey isn't good enough IMHO, and certainly not a better bet than Justin was.

It was another glaring miss today, and with a better front man we'd now have 3 points from today, and probably 3 points from the Burton game rather than the 1 we got.

5 points could be a huge difference at the end of the season.

Looks like the chickens are coming home to roost after just 8 games! There is now added pressure on the Board to deliver investment this month, or with plunging support and plunging results we are in real trouble. And the main culprit (who blocked the one real chance we will ever get to move up the leagues) will take his payoff and depart leaving other poeple to sort his mess out. Bratt, Jackson and Olver (aided & abetted by Mudie, Meigh and Adams) - hang your heads in shame!! ===

I wonder if the official Port Vale web site will pick up on this negative thread and criticise it as vehemently as they did Black and Golds statement that was'nt negative but just stated the facts?

4 in 21 is a fact. That's less than 1 in 5 which is also a fact.

I do think this criticism is over the top but the delusional people that were all raving over him saying he was far better than Justin must be looking at themselves now as he isn't repaying faith.

At least there is slightly more balance in criticising him as I have been tired of the criticism of others in the past whilst the fact the he is a Vale fan seemed to have given him godlike status.

This thread has nothing to do with being pro or anti board, neither did the crap that Haldane faced earlier in the week by fans some of which were anti-board, that is just a daft defence started by anti-board fans that want to slate saupporters who still go to games that will be a mixture of pro and anti-board (of which I am the latter).

Think you will find they were booing the antics of the Southend forward at the end of the game that got into a tussle with Pope.

The majority of Vale fans are fickle as ****, look at the way Richard and others ranted on the match thread today during the game.

Didn't hear any to be honest.

However are you saying Vale fans didn't boo last season before all of this kicked off or under Glover or under Spinnott or under Foyle.

Vale fans in general are as fickle as fans that you will find accross the UK, its got nowt to do with being pro or anti-board or indeed because the two shouldn't be mixed up pro-board attending games, anti-board attending games, pro-board not attending games or anti-board not attending games. Unless people walk around with stickers on them I can't see how anyone could differentiate if indeed there was booing.

Let's face facts - Vale cannot afford decent players.Under the present regime we will always be feeding off the scraps.

Pope is on good money. He got rid of Justin Richards to free up his wages. We could of got someone better. We had Owuso in pre season he scored goals at Luton last season. There is better out there.
