I like Gary Roberts, quality player but my debate was with the original poster in that it couldnt have been a "Great penalty" as he missed.

Interesting that no-one has chosen to mention the messiah that is the 'Vale Fan' who couldn't hit a cows **** with a banjo and missed another penalty whilst creaming over 50k per year.

And don't comment on things you clearly haven't any knowledge of. He's not the first player to miss a penalty. Wont be the last.

 

 

If it's not the board it's a Vale player missing a penalty. Why don't you start a protest about it?

 

He's scored two already this season. I think we can forgive him for missing a penalty in a competition that has seen us make next to no money, with no chance of winning it outright, and has potentially seen one of our players break his leg.

 

I went and I couldn't care less that we're not in the pot for the next round.

 

 

You need to get over yourself. Arsenal fans saw Van Persie miss a penalty and their team lost 8-2 against a team they're traditionally on a par with. We missed exactly the same amount of penalties as a team in the league above and went out of an unimportant competiton.

But there is a reason McDonald and Martin took one each tonight, and that's because arguably more abled penalty takes didn't have the stones.

There are always people worse off, poor old Haldane for starters.

 

We put up a good show against a much better team from a higher league and if we had a centre-forward that could take a penalty or players that didn't fall asleep at set-pieces we would have gained an excellent victory.
