Local oatcakes..at last

That's my retirement plan to open one up in Southport.

I used to be able to buy them in Sainsbury's when I lived in Sheffield.

 

There's nowhere in Gibraltar that sells them, even with Bet365 relocating over since. I've even asked the manager at Morrison's to stock them but to no avail. Have to stock up when we're over and anyone that comes to visit us for a holiday has to bring multiple packets or they're not allowed in.....

could smurf not get a couple of oakcake snackbars to come and sell them out side the ground, for a fee put one by the gate that leads from dolly's lane to loarne street / bycars entrances, the other one in the corner by the dividing fence of the railway end / away end so both set of supporters can get them at that end ,or will this affect his pie sales in the ground. plus supporters could order and pay for oatcakes to pick up after the match to take home this could help the oakcake seller business too .

There's an oatcake shop in Longton with a "heat map" of the world showing where they send them to. It's fair to say they reach all corners of the globe.

 

and they are very nice, have some most weeks and pikelets as well.

Yep..I get the train from Worle into Bristol a couple of times per week which is how he came to my attention. Always seems to have a ready supply of customers but not sure how many go for the oatcakes (fools if they don't)
