If the pro-change buy no shares, or are not allowed to buy shares then we're stuffed. The 3 on the board know this and know that v few new "small scale supporter's" shares will be bought whilst they are in charge. Meanwhile they are safe in their priveliged positions as " Port Vale fans " and we watch and wait to see if they can muddle through until the next (scheduled) egm to pass the accounts.

 

It's a stand off. As long as the board just do nowt (Deak is workin hard on short payment in, long obligation deals) they are OK for now.

 

Then what? Will the SEO come back? Will Vale fly up to no.1 in the table and make everything all right?

 

It's personal now. A matter of principle. It will be fascinating to see how it all unfolds. I, for one, regret my charity donation now. I wish I'd spent it on booze beer ladies n bikes as usual.

Just dont go to the home games stay out of the stadium....they cant operate a club without income....when they cant pay the wages one month then they will realise they have to DO SOMETHING and that is RESIGN!!!!!

I see where you're coming from but it does rather defeat the object of SEO if folk just give them the money anyway. Unless everyone went and asked for their money back after the EGM life Melv did!!

 

I thought the point of SEO was to obtain change not to save money. Buying shares and using the votes would be the most direct way of bringing change about.

 

If there are 2,000 in SEO x £300 = £600,000 in shares potentially.

You're wasting your time, unless they can get exactly what they want all the time people aren't willing to hold a small stake in the club.

 

Much better to put the club out of business or waste money on newspaper adverts as if that will embarrass the current board out.

...by which time it will be too late! even without SEO, the company accounts year after year prove we are sliding towards administration, even with average gates of over 5,500!

 

Let me ask you a question, if there was a vote of no confidence in the current government, would they just shrug their shoulders and carry on in power anyway?

The vote of no confidence was undermined by having votes for the dismissal of individual board members.

 

The remaining board members can claim that voters only objected to the two who were voted off, and that without them the vote of no confidence would not have been carried.
