Jesus Christ youth, I get it. You want to play a winger on the opposite wing, you don't need to tell me 3 times.

The winger in question has been dog awful on the occasions he's played in his favoured side.

Like I said, for me out of the 2 Birchall has played better than Kelly. Which hasn't been a hard act to do.

i no you get it, im not questioning that 'youth', ive merely asked why is it daft playing a left footed player on the right hand side? when i pointed out playing wingers on the opposite wings can be successful

Having watched the highlights both goals mainly down to Streete.

Goal 1 although Uche should have headed the ball Streete starts walking away from the goal scorer and then just falls over - leaving him free and unmarked in the box.

Goal 2 Streete marking Sorvell who played the ball in ... then stood and watched Sorvell jog in to the box and score, completely unmarked.

Lots of potential but he needs to start switching on for 90 minutes.

Having watched the extended highlights on the player the turn and cross by Birchall which lead to Andoh's injury was a great piece of football and 3 players all should have scored - should have been on the youtube highlights. Andoh was the only one who made an effort to touch it, Daniel and the player on the far post just stood and watched it roll past their toes.

I would personally give him a little more time but I would also say that the reaction from fans isn't necessarily unjustified.

We have won 6 out of our last 28 league games and fans from any club in that situation would react similarly.

Yet those same fans want Uwe Rosler to take over and he has won 4 of his last 28 league games???

But you've used experiened, world class wingers to support your argument and we were talking about Sam Kelly who, with all due respect to the lad, is neither.

But do we want to find out in a league game away from home? Try him there in a Reserve game if you must but not in the first team until we know what he can actually do.

Maybe, although the first one looks worse every time you watch it, he vaguely walks a couple of paces towards the ball (which he shouldn't do as we play man marking from corners and his job is ... to man mark the centrehalf in the middle of the six yard box!) and then throws himself to the ground with nobody that close to him. For the second one he starts out of position before he tries to get to Sorvell .... Grant is trying to get back in to the hole he's left, Purkiss and McGivern to fill it in from either side. But then when he got close to the centreforward as he passes it he just stops and stands in the d of the penalty area watching him jog (almost walk) through in to a goal scoring position.
