Tues 20th Oct 2015, Colchester v Port Vale, pre-match comments and the match itself

It is a Tuesday game and they got humped at the weekend so we will take pity on them and give them a goal start. On top of that we will be scared to death by Vale's set play defending through out the game and in the 2nd half we will win 2-1.

Big two away games these as next home is v Shrews .

I believe if we put the same level of performance in as v Peterboro we can win every game ,its that just that final ball which is letting us down.

Taking a heavy touch instead of shooting also but im very pleased with the general play i have seen this season.

Dead ball situations could be better but 110 corners which have yielded just one goal is absurd and unfortunate.

Just goes show how good our play is though ,we pass the ball so well lets hope we start to reap what u sow.

Away from home i believe we r having chances (half chances )its imperative we take them as me m8 was saying we started very well at Southend and could easily have notched 3 in the first ten.

Alnwick

Purkiss Streete Dicko

Grant Oconnor

Birchall foley Andoh

Uche Daniel

A very attacking line up

The 3 at the back r capable got grant and oconnor to aid them anyway if Moore doesnt make it its a toss up between Yates /Birchall / dodds ,any of them 3 really as Uche and Daniel and Andoh r going be unplayable .

Foley Uche and Danel to score in.a 3-1 win hopefully although id be delighted with any kind of win .

Colchester were going well so it will be a hard game every clubhas very bad days at the office .

As much as I'm not sure of a back four including McGivern, your back 3 is a much more frightening alternative. Two of them aren't centre-backs for a start!

Ah I do love your team selections, I can just imagine you experimenting on Fifa with these formations and then thinking they could work in real life. But I don't think a 3-2-3-2 formation is about in football atm

the amount of times ive played football manager and experimented with formations and thought to myself that would work in real life :shifty:

Im going to score goals they score 3 we get four .

He will play the same team bar Mcgivern for Duffy so he will probably be going for a 0-0 ,come the end of the season that may cost us to win.football matches u score goals i think there is goals aplenty in us but does Page worry to much about the opposition.to much ,lets hurt them they have just conceded a be it against a very good side in Wigan 5 so we should be out them traps quicker than a greyhound .

I don't think he will play the same team, firstly Grant will come back in probably in place of O'Connor and I'm not sure Byron is fit is he???

Grant will play, as will McGivern. As Moore will probably miss out injured the question is whether O'Connor starts on the bench, or Foley moves to the wing. Guess the call will be whether a 60 minute of O'Connor at the start is better than 30 minutes at the end. I'd be tempted to start with Birchall or Dodds and bring O'Connor on for the last 30 minutes.

Just been reading the sentinel and Page the plonker is justifying his retained list in the summer! It's frightening and I'm very worried about our football club if he's in charge and he believes THAT retained list was right.

If he's happy with the new signings and happy with the retained list then this is RPs squad. No questions and no excuses.

No excuses, lets judge on results and league position.

After a full season with his own squad we can judge.
