Closing parts of stands, swapping car parks, moving the away ends, holding away fans after the game for 15 minutes. These are all ideas up in the air and they won't make any difference. The ones that purposely go looking for trouble and aren't even interested in watching the game aren't going to be suddenly put off by this. They'll find the trouble whatever gets in their way.

The atmosphere in the bycars in the 90's was the best there has ever been at the vale. Confetti, bog rolls, singing a song for every player before kick off, the giant flag. And of course, many renditions of Steinos song.

The biggest thing Vale are able to offer over watching Murdoch's Circus on telly, is being part of the live matchday experience. And if we can offer a good atmosphere then folk will come for it.

Figure a way to serve beer in the bycars & knock couple of quid off gate price and get it rocking again(get round the gotta charge away fans same price by sell tickets in two's for knock down price - two consecutive matches for £XX.)

Also puts the rowdy uns as far away from away fans as possible, which would help reduce trouble - so the police won't favour it, not wanting to kill their cash-cow.
