It has been brought to my attention that a "representative(s)" from Port Vale is/are due to visit the USA (with the team) to try to secure funding from Ameriturf (AGS). This funding NOT SPONSORSHIP will be in return for 2 seats on the Board at Port Vale (thus securing the positions of Bratt, Oliver and Jackson, FOREVER).

 

WE HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING.Believe me, the amount the representatives are asking for will only paper over one or two cracks for the short term.

 

Brian Melzack is in contact with Steve Guppy (discussing all things Port Vale).

I'm writing to you with great concern over whats happening at Port Vale FC. I'm begging you to not help cover the cracks with cash from Ameriturf we need real investment and the board out. The Shareholders passed a vote of no confidence against the board and almost voted all 5 board members off if any of the 5 hadn't of voted they would be gone now. 80% of Port Vale Fans want them gone there killing our club please do not assist in this. Many fans are trying to starve them out by not going home games they will go, but the sooner the better.

Brian Melzack, on the back of the name Port Vale, is trying to arrange a meeting with him to do business for Melzack & Ameriturf, so people are just letting Guppy know what kind of person & company are trying to deal with him

This doesn't surprise me at all Caroline, and it confirms my beliefs that the Vale board are hiding something that will land them in jail if it comes out. I am led to believe that this something involves the Childrens' Centre in Lorne Street.

 

I can't believe it possible that any gorup of Vale fans would otherwise be so utterly desperate to maintain control of the club. They claim they and their families have been abused to extremes, yet refuse to sell their club (thereby helping generate more abuse towards innocent parties).

 

What I don't quite get though (as I've been away) is why is Mark Simms not on the board? I realise he would not sign a confidentiality agreement, but I don't see what Mark's problem is here...

 

1) Why does he have to sign an agreement, as I though it was allready agreed upon at the EGM that he would form part of a new board?

 

2) Why doesn't he just sign the agreement - surely the agreement will be null and void if something incriminating is found in the books, and he would be obliged to go the police?

 

If someone could answer me this it would be much appreciated.
