We were reportedly after him a year or so ago, so I was interested to see what he was like. I was impressed, I feel we've needed someone pacey and powerful in defence for years instead of the slow grisly old pro type we usually end up with!

 

He's a decent athletic defender who I think could make the step to league 1 football comfortably.

 

I know we were very close to signing him last season but in the end Micky decided against it at the last minute and he went Grimsby.

 

I'm not sure what his contract situation is like now but maybe Page may go back in for the lad.

I've read that he signed a 12 month deal with Grimsby so I'm guessing he might be out of contract this summer.

 

I'd hope that we've been keeping tabs on him.

Was hoping Grimsby win as friends who own the Pieminster shop at Trentham Gardens are big Grimsby fans . I know they were going so was hoping they travelled back with a smile on their face. Always next year although the Conference is a graveyard for ex league clubs.
