I dont wish Crawley well. Horrible little club. Yes, it may seem romantic to rise through the divisions - but they are a tiny club with no fans, that has made it thanks to substantial overseas investors.

Crawley's southern location helped im sure in getting investors ( proximity to Gatwick ) over more traditional Northern clubs.

The ground only holds 4.600 and the average gate was laughable up until March when the glory hunters jumped on. They will bring 400 to VP if that.

 

They should have picked Wrexham, Cambridge, or York - non league teams with heritage.

People only buy football clubs because they are either fans or see potential. Most Premier League clubs are foreign owned and based in off-shore tax havens (Ch4 last Mon) Crawley are not in that bracket. I dont think Crawley could exist in the Championship, but we could give it a good go, with investment, drive, and a good Academy.

To be honest mate a lot of our supporters dont understand the reality of how the world revolves, or at least how football revolves.

 

Most dig their head in the sand and cant grasp the fact that you have more potential and at the moment are a bigger club than their beloved "Little Port Vale"

 

That is why "We are where we are" and that is why we have supporters who will be protesting for a brighter future.
