I tell you what, people slag off Williamson, but I'd have him over that Nouble every day of the week. One of the worst players I've ever seen at this level.

 

I'd choosee my wife over Nouble as a striker - come on Nouble is awful. That comparison doesn't do anything to promote Willo's case!

I actually think it could be a good thing we have home matches against top teams, as the one thing that seems to stifle and suffocate Vale is high expectation of an easy home win after a good away result. Swindon will be favourites next week, which could help as expectations of a home win seem to stifle Vale. Then again, if we do win,its Crawley at home and everyone will say, surely if we beat Swindon we can beat Crawley........is there any way we can get 6pts from these next 2 games ? Let's go for it and hope so.

Some very sloppy journalism in today's Sunday Mercury. Accompanying the report on the match is this photograph with the caption: "Sanmi Odelusi steers home Sky Blues' second goal but it wasn't enough as Vale took all three points". Spot the deliberate mistake!!

A thoroughly enjoyable away day; the 1,500+ away following were superb throughout, and made good noise and sang endless songs all game:D On a par with Doncaster away back in August in terms of a very good performance, effort and commitment to the cause from the Vale players, with the quality there from the likes of Marshall, O'Connor and co to go with it.

 

Missed their first goal as it took us ages to flag down a taxi from the city centre to the ground.

 

I don't think Coventry will go down, I still think that there are 4 more worse teams than them in this league imo. Great atmosphere amongst the Vale faithful in the Littern Tree in Cov city centre before the game aswell. The weather was great aswell.

 

12 point return from our last 5 league games. Can't ask for anymore than that from the lads. You can tell that confidence and belief is high in the Vale camp at the moment.

quite agree with you beza,as me and my mates were in brum early doors for some pre match ale. to the posters who say we ought to create the same atmosphere at pv it wont happen.you only get a good atmosphere at pv away days because a lot of fans arrive early doors to commence drinkin. which in turn makes for a jovial,loud and boisterous atmosphere.:)
