Excellent result. Also unlucky against Oldham, we were worth a point. This is a division with a lot of teams at the same level. So it is important to be good at 1-0 scores and that defence must continue to be rock solid if we are to get to the play offs. Personally I feel this team is developing and could be a title challenger in 2015/16.

Magnificent, mercurial, majestic, marvellous, man of the match Mark Marshall. He ran them ragged. Listened to several Coventry fans after the match and they all said how could he have been let go by them?

 

O'Connor is blossoming into a fantastic midfielder for us and Page's(I initially was not a fan of his) obvious influence now in the dressing room is paying dividends.

 

Have to admit that (sorry Norman) I am really enjoying Vale away far better than home matches, not just because we are on a roll but the atmosphere etc is helping to build a Vale family again and we have to utilise this to get some more enthusiasm and vocal support at Vale Park. Absolutely certain from the players and managers reactions on the final whistle that they love the backing from us when we are all together.

 

Some of my previous posts have suggested that we are not good enough to contemplate promotion just yet but as this division is becoming increasingly tight and anyone can beat anyone on any day then why not go for it and at least swell Norm's coffers a little with the extra income. We have nowt to lose and we now have a steady platform to give Page a real chance next year if he is allowed to bring in and turf out his choices? SVA were all brilliant!

Looking at the fixtures every other game seems winnable. There's some real tough ones but certainly some we would be looking to claim 3 points. Swindon at home next week and then Crawley. 4 point a from them two would do me.

If anyone wants a laugh this morning check out the Coventry site. Before the match one poster said they should beat sides like us easy and then one twonk agreed saying that not one of our players would make their team!! Reading the comments after the match is a very funny and satisfying experience.

There's one guy on there who's particularly puddled. Claimed Coventry would win 5-0, says they are still better than Vale and that the only reason we are 12 points better off than them is their mistakes. Therefore I'm claiming the League One title for Vale as Bristol City's 28 point lead over us is clearly pure luck and unjustified.

Love how people are judging tubbs without seeing exactly what went on. I wasn't there but I know him personally and he's a good lad, Vale through and through, he gets over excited sometimes but don't we all.
