And that is the perfect example of why selling your best players never pays off.

The money is nice, obviously, but replacing real quality is nigh impossible and the team is much weaker for it.

Remember when we lost Earle and Beckford? Or McPhee and Brooker? A very sharp downward spiral.

 

I still classify Coventry as a 'big club'. I know about their problems but IF they could get their act together there is no reason why they could not be as successful as Leicester, Forest and Derby. The ground is superb - or it was until Wasps trampled all over it.

Why shouldn't they be in league 2? It looks very much like Blackpool & Wigan (both Premiership clubs during the last few seasons) could both be in league 2 next season!

 

League 1 maybe ;)

 

Understand what you are saying though as without teams coming down there would be no space for teams like us, Burnley and Stoke to move up the pyramid.
