Lofty was a good player for us and his box to box energetic play was outstanding.

 

I was pleased he got a good reception today - both before and after the game.

 

He gave his all for Port Vale.

 

He was probably the most overrated player we have ever had. And an absolute ****. He didnt get a good reception where I was.

I thought he was very poor. Gills fans have put him down as their worst signing... Wouldn't get near our midfield.

 

Completely agree. He is years behind Michael O'Connor and was **** today.

Loft has a better engine than either of them.

Knott was certainly a player we missed out on with the goals he's got for Bradford but Loft not a chance based on what he has offered for Gillingham he has gone back to the average player we had in League Two. Yes he had a good season for us last year but for me it was 1 season in about 6. Other than that he was a distinctly average player for Vale.

Today I thought he has a reasonable game although the lad with the long hair(Dack I think?) was Gills best midfielder.

Billy Knott is the same. Sour grapes or not, and childish as it might sound, any player who opts to leave port vale, will be looked on scathingly by me until their return. I've got no room for absent friends and never will.

Id have him at left back, but not in the middle. O'connor is brilliant and does a lot of work that goes unnoticed. In my opinion O'connor is better than both.

What he did to Chris Lines is disgusting. He stamped all over him and then bawled in his ear.

 

He was overated, has a poor first touch and we're better off with Lines, Brown and O'Connor than his type.

I thought Loft was outstanding for Gillingham today and showed us exactly what we are missing this season.

 

I think Duffy distributed the ball better than Loft yesterday.
